Richard Jackson, who was elevated to chief operating officer in October, is primed to&nbsp;take over as the CEO&nbsp;after Hollub's departure, Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter.&nbsp;</p><p>There is no firm date set for her retirement, the report added, and&nbsp;noted that&nbsp;the ongoing conflict in the Middle East could reshape her plans.&nbsp;</p><p>A company spokesperson did not confirm the news and told Reuters that it doesn’t comment on speculation.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Her Tenure</h2><p>Hollub’s departure would conclude over forty years at the Houston-based oil company, where she made history as the first woman to serve as CEO of a major U.S. oil firm. Before this, she oversaw Oxy's Permian Basin operations, transforming the company into one of the leading operators in the country's largest oil-producing region, the report said.&nbsp;</p><p>A transitional period is expected, the report said. This could include Hollub remaining in an advisory capacity to the new CEO, or announcing she ​will step down at a future date, with Jackson ​named CEO-designate. <ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Earlier this month, Trump signed an executive order to allow Sable to restart the pipeline that was shut down for a decade since the 2015 Refugio Beach oil spill.</li><li>Roth Capital kept a&nbsp;‘Buy’ rating on Sable Offshore with a $24 price target and said that Sable is on track for its first oil sales by April 1 from the offshore Santa Ynez unit at around 50,000 barrels of oil per day.</li></ul><p>Sable offshore (SOC) shares jumped nearly 7% on Tuesday after its oil from a California refinery reportedly found a potential buyer, buoying Wall Street optimism.&nbsp;</p><p>Chevron Corp. is reportedly planning to buy some of the first shipments of crude from Sable Offshore Corp.’s platforms off the coast of Santa Barbara.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Details</h2><p>According to a Bloomberg News report, Chevron plans to buy an initial 20,000 barrels a day of oil. “We’re going to run Sable’s crude at El Segundo in April,” the president of Chevron’s downstream, midstream and chemicals businesses, Andy Walz said in an interview to Bloomberg, referring to the company’s Los Angeles fuel-making plant that can process 269,000 barrels of oil daily.</p><p>The news comes on the heels of&nbsp;Trump signing an executive order to allow Sable to restart a pipeline that was shut down for a decade since the 2015 Refugio Beach oil spill, when a corroded segment of one pipeline ruptured and released hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil near Santa Barbara.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Bullish Roth Capital</h2><p>Roth Capital kept a&nbsp;‘Buy’ rating on Sable Offshore with a $24 price target and said that Sable is on track for its first oil sales by April 1 from the offshore Santa Ynez unit at around 50,000 barrels of oil per day.</p><p>The firm said the company is in the process of filling its oil pipeline with its 540,000 barrels of oil storage and is confident that it can fill the pipe soon and commence first sales by April 1. The company will look to deploy an oil hedging program shortly after refinancing its Exxon Mobil (XOM) term loan, Roth added.</p><p>The analyst noted that Sable plans to commence a shareholder return program after getting its debt permanently refinanced and putting on hedges.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Retail Reaction</h2><p>Retail sentiment around SOC stock trended in ‘bearish’ territory amid ‘low’ message volume.&nbsp;</p><p>Shares in the company have jumped 58% so far in 2026.&nbsp;</p>

(NFE) surged more than 25% on Tuesday after the company reached a restructuring support agreement with its creditors under a consensual UK restructuring plan, in a move that is considered to be one of the largest restructuring transactions ever.</p><p>As part of the deal, creditors are expected to exchange NFE debt for a combination of debt, common and preferred equity.</p><p>The company said that it expects the transaction to be completed by the third quarter (Q3) of 2026.</p><p>New Fortress Energy is a global energy infrastructure and liquefied natural gas company founded by Wes Edens, a co-founder of Fortress Investment Group and co-owner of the Premier League team Aston Villa and the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Restructuring Details</h2><p>As part of the restructuring plan, NFE said that it will split into two entities — BrazilCo, a private company holding its Brazil assets, and New NFE, a publicly traded LNG-to-power company with its remaining operations.</p><p>The company said that creditors will swap debt for a mix of new debt, preferred equity, and a majority equity stake. The deal is expected to reduce the New NFE company’s debt from about $5.7 billion to roughly $527.5 million.</p><p>Meanwhile, the company expects to issue up to $2.5 billion in preferred equity and 65% of common shares to creditors. Analysts on average expected loss per share of $0.07, as per data from Fiscal.ai.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Fourth Quarter Update</h2><p>HighPeak’s sales volumes during the fourth quarter of 2025 averaged 43.7 MBoe/d consisting of approximately 64% crude oil and 83% liquids.</p><p>HighPeak’s total capital expenditures, excluding acquisitions, for the fourth quarter of 2025 were $119.9 million with the addition of a second rig in October which was released in mid-January 2026.&nbsp;</p><p>During the fourth quarter of 2025, HighPeak’s Board of Directors approved a quarterly dividend of $0.04 per share. However, the company’s Board of Directors suspended the dividend in the first quarter of 2026.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">2026 Objectives</h2><p>The company said it is taking decisive, proactive measures across the organization. These include reducing its annual capital budget to align expenditures with cash flow generation, expanding HPK’s hedging program to capture attractive pricing and mitigate commodity price volatility, and suspending its dividend to increase annual liquidity by an estimated $20-$25 million.&nbsp;</p><p>“In light of the current geopolitical uncertainty and commodity price volatility, we are taking a disciplined and measured approach to 2026.
