Litecoin uses the memory intensive Scrypt proof of work mining algorithm. Scrypt allows consumer-grade hardware such as GPU to mine those coins.  Why Litecoin? Litecoin is a cryptocurrency that has evolved from Bitcoin after its own popularity in the industry, this alternative, or ‘altcoin’ has emerged to allow investors to diversify their digital currency package, according to Investopedia. Litecoin is one of the most prominent altcoins and was created by former Google employee and Director of Engineering at Coinbase, Charlie Lee. Litecoin was the first to alter Bitcoin and the most significant difference is that it takes 2.5 minutes for Litecoin to generate a block, or transaction, in comparison to Bitcoin's 10 minutes.  ‘While this matters little to traders, miners who use hardware to run Bitcoin's network cannot switch over to Litecoin. This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

And what’s more, its stock is believed to have upside potential from the overbought levels.Meet the Sunnyvale, California-based outperformer — JFrog, a mid-cap software-as-a-service company that provides a global software supply chain platform.&nbsp; The company empowers development teams by enabling a fast, seamless, and secure flow of software from developers’ keyboards to devices, which it calls “Liquid Software.” Outlining its goal, the company says:<blockquote>“We are driven and inspired to automate DevOps, SecOps and IoT organizations, enabling a world where software updates are continuous, fast and fearless.”</blockquote><h2 class="st-heading-2">FROG Stock Leapt In 2025</h2>JFrog made its public debut amid the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic, and after the typical pre-initial public offering (IPO) surge, the stock began to lose its footing and fell steeply. It hit bottom in the middle of 2022 and has been recovering since then.For the year-to-date (YTD) period, JFrog’s stock has returned nearly 122%, with one more session to go. At the start of the year, the company signed an expanded collaboration agreement with Amazon’s AWS to allow enterprise customers to migrate workloads to AWS swiftly.&nbsp;The company also announced two agreements with Nvidia: general availability of its integration with Nvidia NIM microservices, part of the latter’s AI Enterprise software platform, and integration of its foundational DevSecOps tools with the Nvidia Enterprise AI Factory validated design.Revenue for the last reported quarter rose 26% year over year (YoY) to $136.9 million, and the non-GAAP gross margin was a commendable 83.9%. At the end of the quarter, the remaining performance obligations, which combine deferred revenue and revenue backlog, stood at a solid $508 million. SanDisk returned to the public markets on Feb. 13, marking its second debut. The S&amp;P 500's inclusion in late November prevented a steep slide, even as the rest of the AI-leveraged firms went into a tailspin.<h2 class="st-heading-2">SNDK’s Fundamentals Inflect Higher</h2>Sandisk’s revenue and adjusted gross margin have been trending higher since the third quarter of 2025, underpinned by strong demand across its end&nbsp;markets.<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:771/481;" src="https://news.stocktwits-cdn.com/Screenshot_2025_12_12_at_4_23_57_AM_png_32a520fd02.webp" alt="Screenshot 2025-12-12 at 4.23.57 AM.png" width="771" height="481"></figure>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Source: Company presentationThe company derived roughly 61% of its revenue from edge customers in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, which ended on Oct. 3. Roughly 28% came from consumers, and the remainder from the data center end market.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Tapping Growth Hotspot</h2>According to Straits Research, the global NAND flash memory market was valued at roughly $81 billion in 2024, and is poised to grow at a compounded annual growth rate of 6.4% to $141 billion by 2033.&nbsp;&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:770/385;" src="https://news.stocktwits-cdn.com/NAND_FM_Market_png_14d86bba64.webp" alt="NAND FM Market.png" width="770" height="385"></figure>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Source: Straits Research&nbsp;Sandisk is focusing on the lucrative data center end market, which grew 26% sequentially in its first quarter. The company said in its earnings presentation that data center and AI infrastructure investment is set to surpass $1 trillion by 2030. It noted strong demand for storage-focused “Stargate” product line and also confirmed that two qualifications with hyperscalers were underway.&nbsp;The company also expects to add another hyperscaler, along with a major storage OEM, in 2026.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Retail in ‘Wait-and-Watch Mode</h2>From the bullishness seen at the start of the year, retail traders’ mood has fluctuated. As they digest the strong stock gains, sentiment has largely been muted, as seen on Stocktwits’ sentiment meter.<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:720/438;" src="https://news.stocktwits-cdn.com/SNDK_RS_png_857650c351.webp" alt="SNDK-RS.png" width="720" height="438"></figure>&nbsp;According to Koyin, the average one-year analysts’ price target for Sandisk is $264.95, implying scope for another 10% upside — not a bad proposition for a stock that has run up too much, too swiftly. Fourteen of the 21 analysts covering the stock rate it as a ‘Buy’ or ‘Strong Buy,’ while six remain in a ‘Hold’ pattern and one has a ‘Sell’ rating.&nbsp;Wary after the strong rally, in early November, Morgan Stanley’s semiconductor analyst Joseph Moore removed the “Top Pick” status he had accorded to the stock. Explaining the logic, he said:<blockquote>“We remain bullish on SNDK after this run, but think it will take time for earnings to grow into the current stock price.”</blockquote>Morgan Stanley is still ‘Overweight’ on Sandisk. The firm believes that the stock can continue to outperform as the NAND cycle remains in early innings.&nbsp;As recently as this week, JPMorgan initiated coverage of the stock with a ‘Neutral’ rating, the Fly reported. It sees Sandisk offering leverage to the AI-driven enterprise solid-state disk “supercycle” with a structurally advantaged cost base from its joint venture with Japanese peer Kioxia. The investment holding company, however, trimmed its stake by one-third in late July to 9.6% from 14.2%.<h2 class="st-heading-2">VeriSign’s Q3 Earnings Snapshot</h2>VeriSign, which provides internet infrastructure and domain name registry services, reported earnings per share (EPS) of $2.27 for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, ahead of the Fiscal.ai-compiled consensus estimate of $2.24.&nbsp; Revenue climbed 7.3% year-over-year (YoY) to $419 million versus the $416.85-million consensus.“In the quarter, we delivered both growth in the domain name base and solid financial performance,” said CEO Jim Bidzos. “We also continued our consistent return of value to shareholders through dividends and share repurchases.”VeriSign ended the quarter with cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities of $618 million, while generating cash flow from operations of $308 million in the third quarter.<h2 class="st-heading-2">VeriSign&nbsp;Bumps Up Outlook</h2>On the earnings call, CFO John Calys said the full-year revenue will likely come in at $1.652 billion to $1.657 billion, slightly higher than the previous guidance of $1.645 billion to $1.655 billion, according to a transcript provided by Koyfin.&nbsp;The company narrowed its operating income guidance to $1.119 billion to $1.1124 billion,&nbsp;from a prior expectation of&nbsp;$1.117 billion to $1.127 billion. It maintained its capital expenditure guidance for the year at $25 million to $35 million.<h2 class="st-heading-2">What Retail’s Feeling About VeriSign Stock</h2>On Stocktwits, retail sentiment toward the stock turned ‘extremely bullish’ by late Thursday, up from ‘neutral’ seen a day ago.
