Intels post-results selloff centers on a weaker-than-expected outlook, with traders pointing to persistent PC weakness and manufacturing constraints despite stronger areas of the quarterly report. The community is split between calling the decline an overreaction and buying the dip, and seeing the guidance as a sign of prolonged weakness and further downside.

SanDisk is selling off despite a strong quarterly report, raised guidance and an announced 8-for-1 split, amid a broader tech and chip-sector decline after a sharp rally. Traders debate whether the drop is profit-taking and sector pressure or a warning that memory pricing may be peaking; bullish traders argue demand and results remain strong.

Bitcoin is the world's first decentralized cryptocurrency, created in 2009 by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. It enables peer-to-peer electronic cash transactions without intermediaries like banks or governments, operating on a blockchain secured by Proof of Work mining and the SHA-256 cryptographic algorithm. With a fixed supply cap of 21 million coins and programmatic halvings every four years that reduce miner rewards, Bitcoin is designed as a deflationary digital asset often called "digital gold." Its value stems from solving the double-spending problem without trusted intermediaries, creating the first truly scarce digital asset with censorship resistance and permissionless access that no government, corporation, or individual can control. Bitcoin operates as a decentralized peer-to-peer network where transactions are recorded on a public ledger called the blockchain, distributed across thousands of computers globally. Transactions are grouped into blocks added approximately every 10 minutes through mining, where specialized computers compete to solve complex mathematical puzzles. Bitcoin has achieved mainstream adoption through multiple vectors. The January 2024 SEC approval of 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs opened Bitcoin investment to traditional finance participants, and corporations like Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) are using Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset to protect against currency debasement, offering MSTR holders amplified exposure to Bitcoin. The Bitcoin ecosystem continues to evolve with innovations like Ordinals, which emerged in January 2023 to enable NFT-like functionality directly on Bitcoin, and BRC-20 tokens, an experimental standard for creating fungible tokens using Ordinal inscriptions. BTCFi (Bitcoin Finance) represents emerging financial applications extending beyond Bitcoin's traditional role, with protocols like Babylon allowing Bitcoin holders to stake BTC to secure Proof of Stake chains.

Bitcoin

A reported major Binance security breach and temporary suspension of deposits and withdrawals have weighed on Bitcoin, renewing concerns about exchange security and crypto-market confidence. Traders disagree on whether the selloff signals deeper downside or a buying opportunity, with some emphasizing that the incident involved an exchange rather than Bitcoins network and noting Bitcoins relative resilience.

Amazons quarterly results and outlook have drawn attention as investors weigh heavy AI and data-center spending, negative free cash flow, and modest revenue and earnings misses against accelerating AWS growth. The selloff has prompted debate between traders concerned that spending may outpace returns and those viewing the cloud growth and infrastructure demand as a long-term positive.

Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 - Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1

A tech-led selloff following Amazon and Intel results has intensified concerns that heavy AI spending may not deliver adequate returns, weighing on the Nasdaq-100. Traders debate whether this signals a broader AI-trade unwind or an overdone pullback, with some viewing the decline as a buying opportunity.

Apple, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of smartphones, personal computers, tablets, wearables and accessories, and other varieties of related services. It operates through the following geographical segments: Americas, Europe, Greater China, Japan, and Rest of Asia Pacific. The Americas segment includes North and South America. The Europe segment consists of European countries, as well as India, the Middle East, and Africa. The Greater China segment comprises China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The company was founded by Steven Paul Jobs, Ronald Gerald Wayne, and Stephen G. Wozniak in April 1976 and is headquartered in Cupertino, CA.

Apple Inc

Apples relative strength as other technology and AI-linked stocks sell off is driving discussion, with traders describing it as a safe-haven or anti-AI rotation that is helping support broader indexes. Bulls view its lower AI spending and established business as defensive, while bears argue the valuation is stretched and question whether earnings, product demand, and iPhone Duo screen complaints can justify the share price.

Rivian Automotive, Inc. engages in the design, development, and manufacture of category-defining electric vehicles and accessories. It operates through following segments: Automotive, Software and Services. The company was founded by Robert J. Scaringe in June 2009 and is headquartered in Irvine, CA.

Rivians quarterly results beat expectations and the company raised its delivery outlook, citing demand for the R2; traders also welcomed its reaffirmed Volkswagen partnership. The reaction is broadly upbeat, but some remain concerned about cash burn and profitability, while others say the shares have not responded strongly enough to the results.

According to him, a wireless network’s performance depends on more than its spectrum holdings, pointing to the infrastructure needed to deliver service inside buildings, stadiums and hospitals. He cited that in a city such as Chicago, 40% to 45% of mobile traffic originates indoors, where satellite signals face greater challenges.“It takes a lot of years and a huge level of investment” to build a network that can deliver that level of performance, he said, adding that about 98% of the traffic is where AT&T already offers coverage.Stankey did not dismiss satellite connectivity altogether. He said low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellites are “fantastic for delivering bandwidth to rural areas” and could help AT&T serve sparsely populated areas more economically while reducing customer losses at the edges of its network.
AT&T’s Fiber Coverage Has ‘Never Been Greater’, Says CEO
Stankey said he expects “some kind of a peak and then a downward trajectory” for fixed wireless adoption. He said the most durable customer proposition is “a fiber-fed broadband customer with a great wireless service on top of it.”AT&T reported a record quarter for internet net additions across fiber and fixed wireless. The company also said its fiber network is well positioned to serve growing demand from data centers and cloud providers.Stankey said more than 90% of mapped U.S. data centers are within 10 miles of AT&T’s fiber network. Amazon Web Services (AWS) uses AT&T to connect its sites, and the carrier is working with Microsoft (MSFT) on high-capacity connectivity needs.
“Our fiber reach has never been greater. The company added 379,000 postpaid phone customers, with churn at 0.92%. AT&T also raised its 2026 adjusted EPS outlook to about $2.40 from a previous range of $2.25 to $2.35. The company expects adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) growth toward the upper end of its 3% to 4% range and free cash flow of at least $18 billion, including about $6 billion in the fourth quarter (Q4).The telecom giant lowered its planned annual capital spending for 2027 and 2028 to $22 billion to $23 billion, a reduction of about $1 billion. It continues to target more than 60 million fiber locations by 2030.Near-term pressures remain. Executives said during the earnings call that higher marketing and customer acquisition costs, along with about $100 million in vendor dispute settlements, are expected to weigh on Q4 EBITDA. They added that fiber revenue per customer fell 4% and is expected to decline by a similar amount, while home internet net additions are expected to slow during the holiday period.
How Is Retail Feeling About AT&T Stock?
On Stocktwits, message volume around T stock more than doubled over the past day.
