(ELF) shares jumped more than 6% in after-hours trading on Wednesday following the release of stronger-than-expected fourth-quarter results and a $55 million tariff refund, even as the company’s fiscal 2027 outlook fell short of Wall Street forecasts on both sales and earnings owing to a tough market environment.The cosmetics maker reported fiscal fourth-quarter net sales of $449.3 million, a 35% increase from a year earlier and well above analysts’ consensus estimate of roughly $423 million. Adjusted earnings per share (EPS) came in at $0.32, topping the Street’s expectation of $0.29.The stock’s positive after-hours reaction appeared driven by the robust top-line beat and continued strength across the brand portfolio — particularly Rhode and Naturium — despite the forward guidance coming in below expectations. Analysts had been looking for fiscal 2027 net sales around $1.87 billion and adjusted EPS near $3.61, but e.l.f Beauty guided to sales of $1.835 billion to $1.865 billion and adjusted EPS of $3.27 to $3.32. The newly launched study is designed to serve as the confirmatory trial needed to convert any accelerated approval into full traditional approval and to support marketing applications outside the United States.<h2 class="st-heading-2">DYN’s Trial Design</h2>The new trial is a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial that will enroll approximately 90 ambulatory boys and young men ages 4 to 18. Participants will receive 20 mg/kg of z-rostudirsen or placebo every four weeks for 72 weeks, followed by an open-label extension. The primary endpoint is the change from baseline in rise-from-floor (RFF) velocity at Week 73, a clinically validated measure of muscle strength and motor function in DMD. Secondary endpoints include multiple functional measures such as 10-meter walk/run velocity and four-stair climb velocity.The trial design has already been aligned with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Waltham, Massachusetts-based clinical-stage company said. The first clinical site is now activated and open for enrollment.DMD, a rare and progressive genetic muscle-wasting disease, affects roughly 12,000 people in the United States and 16,000 in the European Union. Z-rostudirsen is part of Dyne’s broader DMD franchise, which includes preclinical programs. He projected that 2026 would mark Tesla’s third straight year of declining deliveries, even as the broader global EV market is expected to grow 20-25% in units. Early 2026 data showed Q1 deliveries of 358,023 vehicles, a modest year-over-year increase from a weak prior period.Black highlighted Tesla’s promotional strategies — zero-interest financing and incentives — as insufficient and not effectively communicating competitive advantages. Nevertheless, he pointed to the company’s leadership in unsupervised autonomy technology as a potential game-changer capable of generating significant new revenue streams to offset EV weakness.“While TSLA’s 2026 P/E of 210x seems way extended vs +35% long-term earnings growth, we would not short TSLA stock on what are largely valuation grounds,” Black concluded. Intuit Inc. (INTC) will reportedly lay off about 3,000 employees, or about 17% of its global workforce, as the company looks to sharpen its focus on artificial intelligence.

According to a Reuters report, CEO Sasan Goodarzi said in an internal memo that Intuit is streamlining its structure and reducing complexity to improve execution and deliver better products to customers.
