Keefe also said that it was "impressed" with the initial list of participants, including top cryptocurrency companies and Mastercard. Palantir counts on the government, including the Pentagon and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, for more than half of its U.S. revenue, according to CNBC.As the conflict escalated, Palantir quickly became a key name on investors’ radar. However, the momentum reversed sharply last week, with PLTR tumbling nearly 14% – its worst performance in a year – as a temporary U.S.-Iran deal signaled a potential de-escalation of the war.&nbsp;The war is still not over, though. The U.S. said on Sunday that it would begin a blockade of ships entering or leaving the Strait of Hormuz, after U.S.-Iran ceasefire talks in Pakistan ended without an agreement, a development that would likely weigh on global markets as they open in the new week.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Retail View On PLTR Improves</h2>On Stocktwits, the retail sentiment for PLTR climbed higher and was ‘extremely bullish’ as of late Sunday. Still, traders remained deeply divided, with bulls pointing to the company's deepening entrenchment in critical government defense contracts, while bears question the sustainability of its premium valuation and the impact of the evolving AI landscape.“$PLTR If you haven’t figured it out by now, Trumps pltr tweet was a last chance “buy the dip” signal! <ul class="summary-bullets"><li>OpenAI on Tuesday announced that it raised $122 billion in equity financing – the largest investment round for any company.</li><li>The financing and stake sale of individual investors comes ahead of a potential initial public offerings, expected towards the end of the year.</li><li>Investors are increasingly eying exposure to marquee pre-IPO tech companies such as SpaceX and Anthropic, investing into funds that own them.</li></ul>Noted tech investor Cathie Wood has poured in $240 million as part of OpenAI’s mammoth $122 billion funding round – a significant development that opens the door for retail investors to gain exposure to the world’s leading AI company, which is also gearing up for an initial public offering.The investment is made from her three exchange traded funds ARK Innovation (ARKK), ARK Fintech Innovation (ARKF) and ARK Next Generation Internet (ARKW), according to ARK Invest disclosures.&nbsp;As a percentage of their total holdings, the OpenAI stake accounts for 3.1% for ARKK, and 3.0% for ARKW and ARKF. Coinbase’s stock has been stretching its post-earnings rally since Friday, despite bearish calls from Wall Street after the company reported revenue and earnings below analyst estimates.

The company’s Assets under Administration (AUA) also increased 11% YoY to $18.5 billion.Net income during the quarter registered a 16% YoY increase to $69 million, while net contribution declined 10% YoY to $227 million.“Our fourth quarter results reflect the strength and resilience of our multi-asset business model. We delivered compelling financial performance through a combination of diversified revenue streams, healthy funded accounts growth, and disciplined financial management,” said eToro CFO Meron Shani.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Capital Markets Activity Surges, Crypto Trades Plunge 50% In January</h2>eToro stated in its report that capital markets activity on its platform surged in January 2026. The company said the total number of capital market trades on its platform soared 55% YoY to 74 million, while the invested amount per trade rose 8% YoY to $252.However, crypto trades on eToro plummeted to four million in January, down 50% YoY. Invested amount per trade also fell to $182, down 34% YoY.<h2 class="st-heading-2">eToro Enhances Share Repurchase Program</h2>eToro also announced an enhancement to its share repurchase program by $100 million, adding to the previously-authorized quantum of $150 million.The company noted that it has used up $100 million of its previous authorization, leaving a remaining authorization of $150 million following the increase.<h2 class="st-heading-2">How Did Stocktwits Users React?</h2>Retail sentiment on Stocktwits around&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ETOR">eToro</a> soared on Tuesday, entering the ‘extremely bullish’ territory from ‘neutral’ a day ago.
