Musk Polled Himself out of Twitter

Over the weekend, $TSLA CEO and current Twitter CEO Elon Musk opened this poll:

Surprisingly, 57.5% of the respondents answered yes. Lol.

Following the results of his ironic poll, Musk tweeted the following:

Tesla investors have been vocal about Musks’ perceived absence from the EV automaker. So when the poll results were finalized, some analysts and pundits believed it was bullish for Tesla.Β 

Tesla gapped higher at the open +2.54%, but all of those gains were wiped out as sellers took control. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

At the time of writing, Tesla is down -1.59% for the day and made a new 2-year low, returning to where it traded back on November 17, 2020.

No updates yet from Elon Musk regarding whether or not he’s going to step down. We’ll keep you posted on that front.Β

A New High In New Highs

Nvidia earnings re-ignited the animal spirits in the market, causing the stock and major indexes to reach several new milestones. Let’s check’em out. πŸ‘‡

Firstly, a 16% rise in the stock today caused its market cap to rise $277 billion, the largest one-day increase of any stock in history. Secondly, today’s move put it firmly ahead of Google and Amazon as the fourth-largest stock in the world (Saudi Aramco not pictured below). It also moved it a stone’s throw away from $2 trillion. 🀩
