Elon Musk's X Corp., which owns the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has a new head of product — and he quite literally posted his way into the job.

On Monday, Los Angeles-based tech entrepreneur Nikita Bier shared a photo with  Musk and announced his appointment: "Ladies and gentlemen, I've officially posted my way to the top: I'm joining @X as Head of Product."

Bier called X "the most important social network in the world" and said the platform helped him find community, launch his career, and even meet his girlfriend. He also teased upcoming product updates, writing:

"We'll be leveraging the power of [xAI's] Grok to create hyper-relevant timelines and help people understand everything that's happening."

In a callback to his hustle, Bier resurfaced a 2022 post tagging Musk: "Hire me to run Twitter as VP of Product. I've been building social apps for 11 years—and not in a way that leads products to decay like a typical BigTech ‘product director dad.’"

He added a cheeky reply to that late Monday: "Never give up."

Bier would take on the bulk of Musk's role, which the billionaire entrepreneur assumed in 2023 after hiring Linda Yaccarino as CEO. Musk remains the Chief Technology Officer, in addition to serving as executive chair.

According to media reports, Bier was a former Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) product manager (2017–2021), co-founded tbh (a teen polling app acquired by Facebook in 2017, which was later shut down), and created Gas, a similar social app acquired by Discord in 2023 (which was also later shut down).

He also describes himself as an advisor to Solana and a venture partner at Lightspeed.

Bier has amassed over 531,000 followers on X, where he's been posting since 2012.
