HCLTech has partnered with GSMA to accelerate telecom innovation and adoption of programmable networks under the GSMA Open Gateway initiative, a global framework designed to unlock new monetisation opportunities for Communication Service Providers (CSPs).

The collaboration aims to enhance customer experiences, streamline application development, and create new revenue streams for the telecom industry.

As the first and only global technology company to join the initiative, HCLTech said the alliance reinforces its commitment to fostering openness, driving monetisation, and accelerating innovation across telecom networks.

Through this partnership, HCLTech will contribute a converged network monetisation platform, a secure and scalable network API layer, and Agentic AI solutions integrated with native network APIs.

The company will also provide end-to-end integration services and develop industry-specific use cases across 10+ sectors, including manufacturing, energy, automotive, and healthcare.

“Our alliance with GSMA reflects our commitment to empowering CSPs with agile, programmable networks. With our proprietary IP, AI capabilities, and global scale, we are positioned to deliver real-world impact across the telecom value chain,” said Anil Ganjoo, Chief Growth Officer, Global Technology, Media and Telecommunications at HCLTech.

GSMA’s Head of Networks, Henry Calvert, added, “With HCLTech’s expertise across 200+ CSPs globally, it will play a key role in accelerating adoption and delivering innovative, real-world use cases.”
