Nokia Targets Faster Network Automation

According to Nokia, integrating the two platforms will allow operators to use AI agents across the network for tasks such as automated root-cause analysis and closed-loop operations, while maintaining human oversight.

Operators will be able to access trusted data in minutes instead of weeks, reducing the time needed to prepare network data for AI applications, Nokia said.

The solution is designed to work across multi-vendor and cross-domain telecom environments, including cloud, hybrid and on-premises infrastructure. Nokia said this allows operators to use the technology while meeting different regulatory requirements.

The system is designed for multi-vendor networks and can combine Nokia telecom data with enterprise, IT and third-party data through Microsoft Fabric. Nokia said AI assistants can analyze issues, recommend actions and automate workflows while keeping human oversight in place.

Vivek Jaiswal, senior vice president of Autonomous Networks at Nokia, said the companies are helping telecom networks evolve from static infrastructure into “programmable, AI-native platforms.”

Nokia Starts With RAN, Fault-Management Use Cases

Initial deployments will focus on several network operations. One is autonomous Voice over New Radio (VoNR) assurance, where AI agents can detect service issues, analyze their cause and recommend actions.

Another is geo-experience, which uses AI to identify users experiencing poor radio performance and locate coverage or capacity problems across radio access networks (RAN).

The companies are also targeting predictive maintenance and fault management, where agents analyze historical and real-time network data to identify potential issues before they affect customers.

The solution is available now, according to Nokia, with additional autonomous-network use cases and customer deployments planned as the partnership expands.
