President Donald Trump touted Nvidia’s new $500 billion investment in U.S.-based artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in a post on TruthSocial on Tuesday, calling the commitment a milestone for domestic industry and pledged to fast-track regulatory approvals.
“All necessary permits will be expedited and quickly delivered to Nvidia, as they will to all companies committing to be part of the Golden Age of America,” Trump wrote in the Truth Social post.
On Monday, Nvidia (NVDA) announced that it is working with its manufacturing partners to build AI supercomputers and chipmaking capacity entirely within the U.S. for the first time. The chipmaker said it has secured more than one million square feet of space for facilities in Arizona and Texas.
Nvidia projects it will build up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure in the U.S. over the next four years, pushing total Big Tech commitments in U.S.-based AI manufacturing to more than $1.6 trillion since Trump took office.
The investment follows new comments from the Trump administration indicating it will conduct a separate review of semiconductor-related tariffs.
In a different Truth Social post, the U.S. President reiterated his hardline stance on tariffs on Monday, saying no exemptions had been granted for semiconductor products and warning that the entire electronics supply chain is under review as part of upcoming national security investigations.
“We will not be held hostage by other countries, especially hostile trading nations like China,” Trump wrote.
Nvidia’s stock was up 1.6% on Tuesday afternoon. Although the shares have lost 17% in 2025, they have risen by over 26% over the past year.
