Apple (AAPL): The stock dropped 4.5% in premarket trading on Tuesday, a day after the company reported fourth-quarter results. However, the company indicated that its closely watched gross margin would continue to come under pressure from surging memory chip prices. The outlook overshadowed an otherwise strong fiscal fourth-quarter report, with both overall revenue and iPhone sales topping analyst expectations.
Oracle Corp. (ORCL): The stock rose 0.4% in early premarket trading on Tuesday after the company detailed its $20 billion equity and bond offerings late Monday. Oracle plans to sell 86.2 million shares at $116 apiece, below Monday’s closing price of $119.20 and its 50-day moving average of $141.25. The announcement of the fundraising plan had sent the stock tumbling 8.6% in Monday’s regular session. Oracle expects to raise approximately $9.9 billion in net proceeds from the common stock sale after deducting underwriting discounts and estimated offering expenses.
Palantir Technologies (PLTR): Shares of the firm fell more than 5% in early premarket trading on Tuesday, despite the company reporting third-quarter results above Wall Street expectations. Adjusted earnings came in at $0.44 per share, beating the analyst consensus of $0.41. However, concerns over the stock’s lofty valuation appeared to outweigh the strong results. CEO Alex Karp struck an upbeat tone in his shareholder letter, pointing to surging corporate interest in Palantir’s sovereign AI offerings, which he described as “extraordinary and ravenous.”

Nvidia Corp. (NVDA): Shares of the chipmaker rose 1.3% in premarket trading on Tuesday, snapping a four-day losing streak. The stock also attracted increased attention on Stocktwits amid a flurry of reports about the chipmaker’s role in the broader AI market. Marvell Technology (MRVL): The stock gained more than 2% in early premarket trading on Tuesday. On Monday, Marvell announced a $115 billion deal to acquire optical components maker Lumentum. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2028, creating a combined company with a total addressable market of $550 billion.
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): Shares of the chipmaker gained more than 2.4% in premarket trading on Tuesday ahead of its third-quarter earnings release after the close today. The market will watch the results closely after Intel Corp.’s (INTC) disappointing report last week. Intel missed revenue estimates and issued a weaker sales outlook, while also signaling a subdued outlook for the PC market, a key source of CPU demand. AMD’s results could help investors gauge whether Intel’s weakness is company-specific or reflects broader softness in the chip industry.
