Alphabet Inc.’s (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo said on Monday that it plans to launch commercial robotaxi services in San Diego, Las Vegas, and Detroit.

“We’ve also regularly tested in Detroit during winter weather to develop our capabilities in snow and ice. We’ve made great strides in our efforts to operate in heavier snow – including testing in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula – and look forward to the 6th-generation Waymo Driver navigating Detroit streets this winter,” Waymo said in a blog.

The company said it will return to Las Vegas, serving residents and visitors alike, beginning next summer, and will expand to California next year.

Waymo’s Expansion

In October, Waymo announced its intention to launch an autonomous ride-hailing service in London in 2026, with the service available via the company’s Waymo app. The company had announced that this would happen through a collaboration with its fleet operations partner, Moove.

Waymo has partnered with Moove earlier as well for its autonomous fleet in Phoenix. The company’s fleet in Miami is also slated to be managed by Moove starting next year.

Waymo For Business

In September, Waymo announced the rollout of a new offering that enables businesses to provide employee or event transportation via its robotaxis, in an effort to broaden its customer base and optimise fleet usage.

Waymo has introduced “Waymo for Business” and is inviting organizations to sign up to explore the benefits of its fully autonomous ride-hailing service.
