$AMAT $LRCX $ASML $KLAC Yeah, that tracks. AMAT investor breakfast presentation. So attendees would typically have been offered typical business-breakfast fare (coffee but it lack creme, some unfulfilling pastries, fruit like banana, "light hot items", etc). Investors weren’t satisfied. The company explicitly declined to give a concrete near-term WFE spending forecast, citing variables like cleanroom availability, supply-chain constraints, and energy infrastructure financing.

A familiar ritual played out under the fluorescent lights of an investor breakfast.A company arrives with a compelling tale of artificial intelligence & materials engineering, a long-term vision still standing firm. Yet the market, that stern & impatient jury, demands not dreams of tomorrow but precise numbers for today. Finding the guidance wanting, it renders its verdict swiftly. Selling the uncertainty, & with it, the shares.A classic reaction on investor day, where good stories alone are never quite enough.
