Litecoin was the first to alter Bitcoin and the most significant difference is that it takes 2.5 minutes for Litecoin to generate a block, or transaction, in comparison to Bitcoin's 10 minutes.  ‘While this matters little to traders, miners who use hardware to run Bitcoin's network cannot switch over to Litecoin. This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

Both wanted to create a fun cryptocurrency that will appeal beyond the core Bitcoin audience. Dogecoin is primarily used as a tipping system on Reddit and Twitter where users tip each other for creating or sharing good content. The community is very active in organising fundraising activities for deserving causes.  The developers of Dogecoin haven’t made any major changes to the coin since 2015. This means that Dogecoin could get left behind and is why Shibas are leaving Dogecoin to join more advanced platforms like Ethereum. One of Dogecoin strengths is its relaxed and fun-loving community. However, this is also a weakness because other currencies are way more professional. The company in August also launched a limited-edition brand collaboration with Tru Kolors, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s sportswear and lifestyle clothing line.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Q3 Earnings</h2>For the three months through the end of September, the company <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20251202763824/en/AEO-Inc.-Reports-Third-Quarter-Fiscal-2025-Results-Exceeding-Expectations-Raises-Fourth-Quarter-Outlook">reported</a> diluted earnings per share of $0.53, up from $0.41 in the corresponding quarter of 2024, and above an analyst estimate of $0.44, according to data from Fiscal AI.Q3 Revenue rose 6% to $1.36 billion, as comparable sales increased 4%, to up analyst estimates of $1.32 billion. More than a dozen Nutex partners, including physicians, medical directors, and board members, have accused Nutex and its CEO and Chairman, Thomas Vo, of wrongdoing, including fraud, embezzlement, and self-dealing, Capybara said.Vo allegedly used his position to sign unfavorable contracts with companies that he secretly owned and controlled, and also used Nutex to “steal” millions of dollars from physicians and partner ERs, the firm said.“Vo used the stolen money to fund his personal investments in other medical facilities, which are part of Nutex,” Capybara said in the first part of its report. The firm also highlighted that it will be releasing the second part of the report.Vo is also Nutex's largest shareholder, in addition to being the firm’s CEO. He has a personal stake in many physician groups that staff Nutex ERs and also in real estate companies that own the ER properties, Capybara said. Nutex controls these physician groups and real estate companies through contractual agreements.“This web of insider-owned related entities, creates conflicts of interest that are ripe for abuse. The problem is amplified by the fact that Nutex, and therefore Vo, have managerial control of all these related entities, and handle their payments, billing, and accounting,” the firm said.According to Capybara, at least fourteen medical facilities cut ties with Nutex after physicians made allegations of serious wrongdoing. The company’s reputation is tarnished in its home state of Texas, and it is now looking to expand outside, the firm alleged.“The company now stands the risk of contracting or breaking apart,” Capybara said. “Nutex is dependent on its partners who own the physician groups and have ownership in the ERs.
