Both research firms kept their 'neutral' ratings on the stock, according to reports on The Fly.Bernstein raised its price target to $210 from $162, although it believes further share upside from current levels would be hard to come by in the near term. Expedia Gets Price-Target Hikes After Strong Q2, Outlook Raise: Retail Extremely Bullish

Shares of the online travel company rose 5.5% on Monday, higher than the 4% gains on Friday following its quarterly report.

Expedia Group (EXPE) shares surged over 17% in extended trading on Thursday, among the highest in the S&amp;P 500, after the travel booking company raised its full-year target.If the after-hours gains carry over into Friday, the stock could be on its way to its best session in four months.Expedia said its upgraded outlook, coming on the heels of stronger-than-expected Q2 results, is driven by a sharp rebound in business travel demand alongside a modest recovery among U.S. consumers.Booking Holdings (BKNG) and Airbnb (ABNB) also reported better-than-expected quarterly results recently, although both companies offered cautious outlooks. Broadly, online travel companies are seeing a rebound in activity, driven by international travel, with U.S. demand showing signs of improvement beginning in July."Outside of the U.S., the market was quite healthy. (TRIP) shares rallied over 6% in Wednesday’s extended trading as traders reacted to a report regarding activist investor Starboard’s interest in the online travel company.The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that Starboard, run by fund manager Jeff Smith, now held an over 9% stake in the Needham, Massachusetts-based company. The stake will likely be disclosed on Thursday.At Wednesday’s closing price of $14.99 for&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/TRIP">Tripadvisor stock</a>, Starboard’s stake is valued at about $160 million.Starboard will now be one of the top shareholders of Tripadvisor. According to Yahoo Finance data, only&nbsp;BlackRock ($194.5 million) and Vanguard&nbsp;Group ($178.1 million) have higher stakes than Starboard.The activist’s increased interest comes after the company announced a $435 million deal to buy out its majority owner, Liberty TripAdvisor, in December. Lyft’s (LYFT) expanded stock repurchase plan has prompted Engine Capital to drop its activist campaign and withdraw its board nominees on Friday.Lyft’s stock rocketed as much as 19% at the opening bell to a five-month high, tracking broader market gains following Trump’s <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/trump-unveils-us-uk-trade-deal-with-boost-for-steel-agriculture-boeing/chifoL4RbkK">U.K. trade agreement</a> and ahead of <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/trump-says-80-seems-right-ahead-of-china-talks-leaves-final-call-to-treasury-secretary/chiWAGqRblB">U.S.-China trade talks</a> scheduled over the weekend.During its first-quarter (Q1) earnings on Thursday, the ride-hailing company announced that it has increased its stock buyback program to $750 million, up from $500 million. Lyft plans to deploy $500 million over the next 12 months and $200 million within three months."We appreciate the Board's willingness to engage with us about steps that can be taken to enhance value for all of Lyft's shareholders,” it said in its filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).The withdrawal comes a little over a week after Engine Capital pushed the company to initiate a $750 million accelerated share repurchase program and revise its governance structure.&nbsp;The investment firm said this includes dismantling the dual-class share system that grants disproportionate voting power to the co-founder and de-staggering the board.It had also nominated two candidates&nbsp;to the board, seeking to replace current directors Sean Aggarwal and Betsey Stevenson.&nbsp;Engine Capital cited a lack of financial sophistication and public company expertise, pointing out that seven of the ten current Lyft directors have not served on any other public company board.“Following a series of productive conversations, the Board has taken a meaningful first step by committing to substantial share repurchases in the coming quarters,” Engine Capital said, citing the move as its reason for withdrawing and giving the company time to follow through on its new commitments.On Thursday, the company reported earnings of $0.24 per share, beating Wall Street’s estimate of $0.19, according to Koyfin. However, its revenue of $1.45 billion missed the forecast of $1.47 billion.&nbsp;Goldman Sachs upgraded Lyft’s stock to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral, with a price target of $20 following the company’s first-quarter (Q1) earnings report.
