The stock was the biggest gainer in the BSEs A group. On the BSE, 7.15 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 2.51 lakh shares in the past one month. Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd soared 13.30% to Rs 930. The stock was the second biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 2.5 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 1.39 lakh shares in the past one month. Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd surged 9.72% to Rs 846.35. The stock was the third biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 83132 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 15919 shares in the past one month. Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd advanced 9.26% to Rs 9.56. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in A group. On the BSE, 989.88 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 508.87 lakh shares in the past one month. IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd rose 8.80% to Rs 482.55. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in A group. Cochin Shipyard announced that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company will be held on 28 September 2023.
A decisive move below 19,000 is likely to drag Nifty down to another lower support of 18,500 levels.
