However, on Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the company improved to ‘extremely bullish’ from ‘bullish’ over the past day, as chatter surged to ‘extremely high’ from ‘low’ levels.Roblox reported a loss per share of $0.37, less than the estimated loss of $0.51, according to Koyfin data. Its revenue came in at $1.36 billion, a 48% growth year-over-year, but missed the $1.7 billion expected by Wall Street.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Temporary Margin Compression, Long-Term Payoff</h2>Baszucki framed the margin decline as a deliberate, short-term sacrifice to fuel growth. “It’s this spending that’s going to weigh down margins, sort of preparing for the future,” he said.&nbsp;The company reported 150 million daily active users, up from 100 million a year ago, alongside a 70% year-over-year rise in bookings to $1.9 billion. Baszucki emphasized that infrastructure and AI investments are essential to accommodate unprecedented peak usage, which recently surged to over 45 million concurrent users.<h2 class="st-heading-2">AI and Compute Drive Short-Term Costs</h2>Roblox is expanding both its core and edge data centers while leveraging cloud partnerships to manage spikes in platform activity. Mobile app marketing platform AppLovin Corp.’s (AAP) stock fell over 2% in the early premarket session on Tuesday, signaling that the stock is on track to extend its fall.&nbsp;Stung by a Bloomberg report,&nbsp;citing people familiar with the matter, that the company is under the SEC’s scrutiny,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/APP">AppLovin’s stock</a> fell sharply in the final minutes of trading on Monday. At the close, the stock was down 14.03% at $587, off the day’s high of $687. Intraday, the stock shed as much as 20% before making up some of the loss. The decline was accompanied by nearly double the stock’s average volume.The report <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-10-06/applovin-has-been-probed-by-sec-over-data-collection-practices">stated</a> that the securities regulator has been investigating AppLovin’s data collection practices, specifically to determine whether the company had violated platform partners’ service agreements by serving more targeted advertising to consumers. SEC’s enforcement officials assigned to cyber and emerging technologies are reportedly leading the probe.&nbsp;The probe was initiated following a whistleblower complaint earlier this year, as well as a series of short reports. The report clarified that the SEC has not yet accused AppLovin of any wrongdoing, and it also stated that it was unclear how far the review had progressed.Responding to Bloomberg’s request for clarification via email, AppLovin reportedly said, “We regularly engage with regulators and if we get inquiries we address them in the ordinary course,” adding that “Material developments, if any, would be disclosed through the appropriate public channels.”On Stocktwits, retail sentiment toward the stock flipped to ‘bullish’ early Tuesday from ‘extremely bearish’ a day ago. The launch will begin on a referral-only basis, before opening to all advertisers in the second half of 2026, with international customers also to be included for the first time, he noted.The analyst rates AppLovin an “Outperform.” He raised his 2025 and 2026 earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation estimates for the company by 5% and 22%, respectively, factoring in a bullish outlook on the non-gaming self-service launch.&nbsp;Separately, Phillip Securities initiated coverage of AppLovin with an ‘Accumulate’ rating and a $725 price target, according to a summary of the note&nbsp;on The Fly. The firm based its bullish thesis on AppLovin’s leadership in performance-driven mobile games advertising, its “impressive” 76% operating margin, and the likelihood of the company continuing to grow ad revenue by 55%. The firm also sees AppLovin’s core mobile game advertising business benefiting from generative artificial intelligence (GenAI)-related&nbsp;improvements.Skeptical retail users, however, raised concerns about AppLovin’s valuation. “Absolute bubble,” a user said.
