The company has stepped up its buying pace after two weeks of relatively modest additions—430 BTC&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/strategy-expands-bitcoin-treasury-to-629-000-btc-with-latest-51-million-purchase/chsO9V5RdXG">last Monday</a> and 155 BTC the week before.&nbsp;The Bitcoin purchases were made using proceeds from the MSTR at-the-market (ATM) program, STRK ATM, and STRF ATM.&nbsp;Despite the Bitcoin buy,&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/MSTR">Strategy’s stock</a> was down more than 4% in morning trade on Monday. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the shares moved lower but remained in ‘bullish’ territory as chatter also dipped to ‘normal’ from ‘high’ levels over the past day.&nbsp;The Bitcoin-proxy stock moved in tandem with the apex cryptocurrency.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTC.X">Bitcoin’s price</a> fell 2.8% over the last 24 hours, trading at around $111,300 at the time of writing–more than 10% below its recent record high of over $124,000, seen merely 12 days ago. Bitcoin prices slipped for two straight sessions after it ended Friday’s session just under $117,000, and the pullback prompted&nbsp;the digital currency’s&nbsp;evangelist and Strategy, Inc. CEO Michael Saylor to hawk the apex crypto.&nbsp;Economist Peter Schiff, however, wasn’t one to take the bait.In response to Saylor’s post on X that “Bitcoin is on sale,” Schiff said, “Says the man who leveraged up to go all-in on Bitcoin.”Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, was founded in 1989 as a data mining software company and evolved into an enterprise analytics company. The Tysons Corner, Virginia-based company has since diversified into a bitcoin investment company, loading up its balance sheet with the most popular&nbsp;cryptocurrency.At the end of the second quarter, the company held 628,791 bitcoins at a total cost of $46.07 billion or $73,277 per bitcoin.Saylor, one of Strategy’s co-founders, has&nbsp;utilized a combination of stock offerings, including both common stock and preferred stock, as well as debt, to fund the company’s bitcoin purchase.&nbsp;In an X post on Friday, the Strategy CEO said, “Five years ago, $MSTR adopted the Bitcoin Standard. Bitcoin (BTC) remained steady at $108,700 in pre-market U.S. hours on Tuesday, with investors waiting on Wednesday’s release of Federal Reserve meeting minutes and the possibility of U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff deadline extension.&nbsp;The muted price action followed news that&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/IBIT">BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT)</a> surpassed 700,000 BTC in assets under management (AUM) on Monday. As of July 3, IBIT&nbsp;held 698,919 BTC, according to its fund page. That total increased by approximately 1,510 BTC on July 7, according to Coin Glass data, putting the fund over the 700,000 mark.IBIT overtook&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GBTC">Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC)</a>, which was the first ETF on the scene, over a year ago and has since widened the gap.&nbsp;IBIT and GBTC have both gained more than 11% so far this year. However,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BTC.X">Bitcoin’s price</a> has increased by nearly 25% over the same period. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around IBIT improved to ‘bullish’ territory from ‘neutral’ a day ago.&nbsp;Collectively, U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs now hold roughly 1.25 million BTC, or about $135 billion in assets, according to CoinGlass. That represents nearly 6% of Bitcoin’s 21 million total supply.
