Hyundai Just Put Humanoid Robots To Work In Its Factory — Now It’s Tesla’s Move To Ramp Up

The wiring harness may have been installed incorrectly, allowing water into the control module. This may cause the trailer lighting to fail or an electrical short circuit which could in isolated instances also cause fire, the regulator said.NHTSA noted that the issue was caused by insufficient sealing of the trailer wiring harness control module.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Impact And Fix</h2>As for a fix, Hyundai dealers will replace the trailer wiring harness free of charge. The remedy trailer wiring harness control module has improved sealing to prevent water intrusion, the regulator said.However, until the fix is deployed, the regulator advised vehicle owners to park their vehicles outside and away from structures. Owners can, however, continue driving the vehicles.Hyundai is aware of three confirmed fires in the U.S. market starting in August but no confirmed crashes or injuries related to this condition. Hyundai Recalls Nearly 52,000 Towing-Suited Multipurpose Passenger Vehicles Over Potential Fire Risks

Shares of General Motors and Ford fell on Thursday as major automakers warned that a deepening semiconductor disruption tied to a dispute between China and the Dutch government could soon hit U.S. and European vehicle production.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GM">General Motors’ stock</a> slipped 0.8% to close at $57.34 on Thursday, while&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/F">Ford’s stock</a> edged 0.2% lower to $11.74.&nbsp;Automakers Warn Of Supply Chain RisksThe European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) said carmakers and suppliers had been notified by chipmaker Nexperia that it could no longer guarantee deliveries, warning that manufacturing could be significantly disrupted. The notice comes as automakers already face supply-chain pressure from tariffs, foreign competition, and softening demand, according to a Reuters&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/automaker-group-warns-nexperia-chip-supply-issue-could-quickly-disrupt-us-2025-10-17/">report</a>.In the U.S., the trade group Alliance for Automotive Innovation, whose members represent automakers such as GM and Ford as well as Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Stellantis and other companies, urged both governments to resolve the issue quickly before it worsens.&nbsp;John Bozzella, the group’s CEO, said if chip shipments don’t resume soon, auto production in the U.S. and elsewhere will be disrupted with consequences for other parts of the economy.Some automakers said that U.S. production could be affected as early as next month. GM, Ford Stocks Slip As China-Dutch Chip Dispute Over Nexperia Sparks Fresh Supply Chain Fears

The dispute erupted after the Dutch government seized control of Chinese-owned Nexperia over security concerns, triggering retaliation from Beijing and raising fears of another supply shock for the auto industry.

South Korea’s Trade Minister Yeo Han-koo said Friday he had pressed U.S. officials for progress in talks and called for a swift resolution of visa problems affecting Korean workers.&nbsp;His comments came after more than 300 South Korean employees were detained earlier this month at a Hyundai Motor battery plant under construction in Georgia.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/south-koreans-return-home-after-hyundai-plant-raid-shackled-workers-greeted-with-tears/chw8K68RdwN">The workers were later released</a> and returned home.Yeo said both sides acknowledge the gravity of the matter but refused to disclose details of the talks, describing it as a sensitive issue. “These are matters that go directly to the national interest,” he told reporters at Incheon, according to a Bloomberg&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-09-19/us-korea-talks-remain-unresolved-over-auto-tariff-visa-issues">report</a>.&nbsp;The talks also cover auto tariffs and the $350 billion investment package pledged under the trade deal signed in July. South Korea Presses US On Visa Dispute After Hyundai Plant Detentions As $350B Trade Deal, Auto Tariffs Stall

South Korea’s top trade negotiator, Yeo Han-koo, is visiting the U.S. on Monday in a bid to finalize the trade agreement the two countries struck in July."We're working hard to achieve an outcome that is reasonable and meets our national interests," Yeo said to reporters, according to a <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/south-koreas-top-trade-envoy-heading-us-amid-stalled-trade-talks-2025-09-15/">Reuters News report</a>. Yeo’s visit follows Industry Minister Kim Jung-kwan’s meeting with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, which did not yield any progress.The primary issue of contention is the structure of the $350 billion package the Asian powerhouse pledged to invest in the U.S. South Korean officials have flagged that Seoul cannot agree to similar terms agreed in a U.S.-Japan trade deal due to foreign exchange market implications.According to the report, the finance ministry said on Sunday that it was in talks with Washington to minimize any impact on the onshore currency market from the investment package.
