For instance, if Joe wanted to send USD to Mary using her EUR, an offer is submitted to the distributed exchange selling USD for EUR. This submitted offer forms is known as an order book. The network will use the order book to find the best exchange rate for the transaction in-order to minimize the fee paid by a user.  This multi-currency transaction is possible because of "Anchors". Anchors are trusted entities that hold people’s deposits and can issue credit. In essence, Anchors serves as the bridge between different currencies and the Stellar network.  Lumens (XLM) Lumens are the native asset (digital currency) that exist on the Stellar network that helps to facilitate multi-currency transactions and prevent spams. For multi-currency transactions, XLM is the digital intermediary that allows for such a transaction to occur at a low cost.  In-order to prevent DoS attacks (aka spams) that would inevitably occur on the Stellar network, a small fee of 0.00001 XLM is associated with every transaction that occurs on the network. This fee is small enough so it does not significantly affect the cost of transaction, but large enough so it dissuades bad actors from spamming the network.   Prior to Protocol 12, Stellar had a built-in inflation mechanism conceived to allow account holders to collectively direct inflation-generated lumens toward projects built on Stellar.  As the network evolved and grew, it became increasingly clear that inflation wasn’t working as intended — account holders either didn’t set their inflation destination or joined inflation pools to claim the inflation themselves, and the operational costs associated with inflation payments continued to rise — and so a protocol change to disable inflation was proposed, implemented, voted on by validators, and ultimately adopted as part of a network upgrade. Nintendo (NTDOY) said Tuesday it is expanding its top-selling Splatoon franchise with ‘Splatoon Raiders,’ a spinoff title set to debut exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.The company revealed the title in a new&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7ve2zWmkEA&amp;embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.polygon.com%2F">trailer</a> that also previewed a major update for Splatoon 3. It stated that in Splatoon Raiders, players take on the role of a mechanic exploring the Spirhalite Islands, joined by the Deep Cut trio – Frye, Shiver, and Big Man.&nbsp;The trailer depicts their helicopter crash-landing on a remote island, setting the stage for a survival-themed experience. Gameplay footage was limited, but it shows base building, island exploration, and various characters performing tasks such as fishing and scavenging.&nbsp;Nintendo has not confirmed a release date for the spinoff.The company also outlined the next Splatoon 3 update, set to go live on June 12. Embraer (ERJ) stock will likely gain retail attention on Monday after Wolfe Research downgraded the stock to ‘Peer Perform’ from ‘Outperform.’According to The Fly, the brokerage has noted that the shares have gained 100% in a year on improving operating results, sustained positive free cash flow, and a significant backlog increase.Wolfe stays optimistic about the business but says the downgrade came as the stock had already hit its previous price target.The brokerage also says that President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs, which will be effective from April 2, present a material risk, mainly if value-added tax rates are included.Trump has named April 2 as the “Liberation Day” for the United States and plans to impose duties on countries if they have their tariffs on U.S. goods on that day.&nbsp;Countries with other trade barriers, like value-added taxes, could also face new tariffs under the plan.Brazil-based Embraer has production facilities across the globe. Shares of Embraer SA (ERJ) garnered retail attention on Thursday after posting a 40% rise in order backlog to a record high of $26.3 billion.The company ended 2024 with a bill-to-book ratio of 2.2.
