This is all because of the 1MB limitation of Bitcoin Core’s block size, causing it unable to accommodate to large number of transactions. The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV), a fund tracking software stocks, is down more than 24% year-to-date, while the Global X Artificial Intelligence &amp; Technology ETF (AIQ) is down 5%.In a recent podcast, Goldman Sachs analysts said some software stocks have undergone a “huge valuation derating” over the past two weeks. “If you look historically, that valuation premium is now approaching levels you reached in the global financial crisis,” said Ryan Hammond, a portfolio strategist in Goldman Sachs Research.Explaining the selloff, Hammond highlighted the launch of Alphabet Inc.-owned (GOOG) (GOOGL) Google’s Genie 3 model, and Anthropic’s Claude Cowork tool as two of the reasons that drove investors away from these software stocks.“But it seems to us like investors are saying these stocks traded at high valuations and have been popular for a long time. The filing showed the company had accumulated nearly $4 billion in losses through June 30, 2020.&nbsp;In the two years prior to listing, it posted a combined deficit exceeding $1 billion, the investor added. Those figures offered a stark contrast to the perception of the business's strength.Burry highlighted that Palantir’s private fundraising rounds also came at significant valuations.“The later funding rounds were not cheap. The largest single round, Series K at $899 million, was done at $11.38/share in 2019," Burry said.&nbsp;In November, Burry revealed he had bet against shares of Palantir and AI chip leader Nvidia. ‘The Big Short’ Investor Michael Burry Reflects On Palantir’s Billions In Losses Before 2020 Debut

Michael Burry said Palantir became widely recognized in the decade leading up to its 2020 debut as a secretive but influential player working alongside major government and corporate partners.

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>CNBC and Wired reported that over 1,400 Salesforce&nbsp;employees signed a letter seeking dissociation with ICE.</li><li>Bosses at Apple and OpenAI, including several other prominent executives, have in&nbsp;recent weeks expressed concerns and called on the government to ease the crackdown on immigrants.</li><li>Salesforce will report Q4 results on Feb. 25.&nbsp;</li></ul>Over 1,400 Salesforce employees have signed off on a letter to CEO Marc Benioff to drop any potential business with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, CNBC and Wired reported on Tuesday.“We are deeply troubled by recent press reports describing Salesforce pitches of AI technology to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to help the agency ‘expeditiously’ hire 10,000 new agents and vet tip-line reports,” the letter reads.&nbsp;The letter – specifically citing the recent killings of civilians Renee Good and Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minneapolis,&nbsp;Minnesota, as catalysts – seeks details over the services Salesforce is providing to the ICE and “pause or prohibit infrastructure, AI systems or services that enable ICE operational scale-up.”<h2 class="st-heading-2">Corporations Speak Up Against Immigration Crackdown&nbsp;</h2>The development is only the latest instance of the issue being highlighted in corporate America. Meanwhile, it has also captured retail attention, with retail messages around <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/ORCL">ORCL shares</a> having increased by more than 826% in the past 24 hours, according to Stocktwits data from Tuesday morning.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Financing Stance</h2>Most recently, BNP Paribas weighed in on Oracle’s financing, saying that it believes Oracle is confident about delivering on its 2030 targets, according to a <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://seekingalpha.com/news/4549556-oracle-adobe-in-focus-as-bnp-paribas-weighs-in-on-enterprise-software-sell-off">report</a> from Seeking Alpha.BNP’s analyst Stefan Slowinski highlighted Oracle’s balance sheet status, after the company announced its capital plan for 2026 on Feb. 1, which includes raising up to $50 billion in debt and equity to fund the expansion of its cloud infrastructure business.Slowinski noted that while the debt issuance was largely expected by the market, the equity issuance was a surprise. The analyst said that the firm believes that debt market pressures on software companies likely led to the equity issuance.“Given the initial market reaction, we believe the fund raising has calmed some nerves,” Slowinski said in a note to investors, as per the report.However, Slowinski said that he does not believe Oracle will resort to vendor financing as the company’s remarks in its latest results suggest it does not need more than the $100 billion it already has.“Overall, we believe that Oracle remains confident in delivering on its 2030 targets,” Slowinski said. The analyst also noted that Oracle’s datacenter build and delivery targets are on track, and its financing is in place.“While there may be more contracts that need to be won over the next few years and added to the backlog from here in order to meet 2030 top and bottom line targets, Oracle expects more orders from existing AI customers to come through as the AI arms race continues,” the analyst said.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Street Consensus</h2>Meanwhile, Melius Research analyst Ben Reitzes downgraded Oracle to ‘Hold’ from ‘Buy’ with a $160 price target on Monday, according to TheFly. Melius said that it believes the debt and equity will be an overhang for some time for Oracle, adding that the company should be valued more like an infrastructure company versus a software company.Bernstein also lowered its price target on Oracle to $313 from $339 and kept an ‘Outperform’ rating on the shares, citing the uncertainty around how the company will fund the AI datacenter build-out to meet the contracts it signed last year.DA Davidson upgraded Oracle to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral’ with a price target of $180 on its shares. The analyst said that it believes a revamped OpenAI will be a top challenger to Google and said that the fresh capital stack will help the company live up to its obligations this year, including to Oracle, which it sees removing the biggest concern from the latter.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Retail Stance</h2>On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around ORCL shares remained in the ‘bullish’ territory over the past 24 hours amid ‘high’ message volumes.One bullish user shared their research on some hyperscalers.
