Pakistan could be next target of Israel, says JI chief

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) Pakistan Central Chief, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has warned that if Israel succeeds in its aggression against Iran, Pakistan could be the next target. Addressing a press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq on Monday, the JI chief said the entire Pakistani nation stands with Iran and believes the war must end. He urged China and Russia to play their role in resolving the conflict. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman paid rich tribute to late Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, the architect of Pakistan’s nuclear programme, for making the country a nuclear power. He also criticised former President General Pervez Musharraf for humiliating the national hero. Taking a strong stance on foreign policy, he demanded that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif apologise to the nation for nominating Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, saying Pakistan should stay out of Trump’s so-called “peace board.” He alleged that the US is once again behaving like a terrorist state, with powerful weapons manufacturing companies and Zionist lobbyists influencing American decision-making.

US-Israeli aggression: JI to hold nationwide protests tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan on Wednesday strongly condemned the United States and Israel’s attacks on Iran and announced plans to hold nationwide protests on Friday against US and Israeli aggression. The party also expressed solidarity with the government and people of Iran amid the escalating regional situation. JI chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated this while addressing a news conference following the JI delegation’s meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan. Other party leaders, including Naib Emir Mian Aslam, Deputy Secretary General Farasat Shah, JI Islamabad Emir Nasrullah Randhawa, Secretary Information Shakil Ahmed Turabi, and Ataur Rehman were also present on the occasion. Hafiz Naeem strongly criticized the United States, Israel, and India, describing them as an “evil trinity.” He also termed the so-called Gaza Peace Board, formed under US President Donald Trump, a deception and demanded that the Government of Pakistan immediately withdraw from it. During the meeting with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam, he conveyed condolences over the martyrdom of Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in Israeli and American aggression.

JI announces nationwide protests against US-Israel following attacks on Iran

Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has announced nationwide protests on Friday against US-Israel attacks on Iran and to express solidarity with the neighbouring country, according to a press release issued by the party’s information secretary. The statement said that JI emir met Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam in Islamabad and addressed a press conference following the meeting, in which he strongly criticised the US, Israel, and India and described them as an “evil trinity”. It added that Rehman also termed the Board of Peace led by US President Donald Trump, of which Pakistan is a member , as deceptive and demanded the government withdraw from it. The statement added that during the meeting, the JI emir also conveyed condolences over the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders in US-Israeli strikes. “He offered prayers for the departed and assured the ambassador that the people of Pakistan and Jamaat-i-Islami stand firmly with Iran in the current situation,” it said.

LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has strongly condemned the joint attack by the United States and Israel on Iran, terming it open terrorism and warning that the entire region is being pushed toward a devastating war. In a statement posted on social media platform X, he said: “The joint attack by the United States and Israel on Iran is open terrorism. The entire region is being pushed into war.” He said, “Once again America has used negotiations as a tool of deception. Donald Trump’s Board of Peace is in fact a Board of War. The United States and Israel have put the whole Middle East at risk in pursuit of their sinister objectives.” The JI Emir said Muslim rulers must open their eyes. Over the past 25 years, he added, several stable Muslim countries have been targeted under American patronage, spreading chaos and instability there. He said, “The U.S. ambassador to Israel is openly supporting the plan for a Greater Israel. Pakistani rulers should also remember this lesson well: America is no one’s true friend.” Commenting on the escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the situation moving toward a formal conflict was extremely alarming and deeply distressing for the people of both neighbouring Muslim countries.

JI Karachi launches ‘Jeene Do Karachi’ campaign

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi on Wednesday launched its “Jeene Do Karachi” (Let Karachi Live) campaign to highlight civic issues and what it termed the denial of citizens’ rights, sharply criticizing the city’s mayor and calling him a “fake mayor” imposed on the metropolis. The party said the first of 13 protest conventions announced under the campaign was held in Karachi, while the second convention is scheduled for February 27 in Orangi Town. Central Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, and Karachi Chief, Monem Zafar Khan are due to address the gathering. Addressing the convention, JI Deputy Chief Pakistan Dr Osama Razi said the country was being run by what he described as a “Form-47 government,” alleging that an illegitimate local setup had been imposed to deliberately ruin Karachi. He announced that the “Jeene Do Karachi” movement would be intensified and said citizens would take to the streets, adopting every constitutional, legal and democratic method of protest.
