SoFi’s Loan Platform Business refers pre-qualified borrowers to loan origination partners as well as originates loans on behalf of third parties. These new agreements reflect the continuing strong demand for personal loans from both members and debt investors.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Details</h2>SoFi said that it has closed a LPB transaction with a leading global bank for an expected loan delivery of over $1 billion and a separate LPB transaction with a financial services and insurance group for $600 million over 12 months.Additionally, SoFi has also agreed terms on a new partnership with a top-five global private asset management firm, expected to deliver up to $2 billion over a two-year period.&nbsp;“Adding three new partners to our growing network shows the unique value of our Loan Platform Business to asset managers, institutional investors and partners more broadly,” said Anthony Noto, CEO of SoFi. “By connecting strong borrower demand with institutional capital, we’re building a capital-light, fee-based business that complements our overall lending business while leveraging our existing technology platform capabilities in underwriting, pricing, marketing and servicing.”SoFi’s Loan Platform Business drives capital-light, fee-based revenue by earning fee income for originating loans for partners while retaining servicing rights. <ul class="summary-bullets"><li>The EU said that it will now carry out an in-depth investigation.</li><li>The Commission suspects that Snapchat's default settings do not provide sufficient privacy, safety, and security protections for minors.&nbsp;</li><li>It also suspects that Snapchat is in breach of DSA rule under which online platforms must mitigate systemic risks stemming from their service.</li></ul>Snap stock fell 10% after the European Commission on Thursday said that it has opened formal proceedings to investigate if Snapchat is ensuring a high level of safety, privacy and security for children online, in compliance with the Digital Services Act (DSA).The EU said that Snapchat may have breached the DSA by exposing minors to grooming attempts and recruitment for criminal purposes, as well as to information about the sale of illegal goods, like drugs, or age-restricted products, such as vapes and alcohol.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Inadequate default account settings</h2>The Commission suspects that Snapchat's default settings do not provide sufficient privacy, safety, and security protections for minors.&nbsp;It also suspects that Snapchat is in breach of DSA rule under which online platforms must mitigate systemic risks stemming from their service. “Moreover, the platform does not seem to effectively prevent users, including children and teens, from accessing such content,” EU said in a statement.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Next steps</h2>The EU said that it will now carry out an in-depth investigation. This involves gathering further&nbsp;evidence, including by sending requests for information to Snapchat and conducting interviews or inspections.&nbsp;The opening of formal proceedings empowers the Commission to take further enforcement steps, such as adopting interim measures and a non-compliance decision. The Commission is also empowered to accept commitments from Snapchat to remedy the issue raised in the proceedings.“Today's opening of formal proceedings means that the Commission takes charge of the investigation that the Dutch Digital Service Coordinator (DSC), Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM), launched on 9 September 2025 into the sales of vapes to minors on Snapchat. JPMorgan Says CEO Dimon ‘Fraudulently’ Included In Trump’s $5B Lawsuit, Seeks To Move Jurisdiction

In a court filing on Thursday, JPMorgan Chase moved to transfer the lawsuit to a federal court in Miami from the Florida state court.

This is an attempt to coerce the public to change its political views, as per the lawsuit.“Plaintiffs are confident that JPMC’s unilateral decision came about as a result of political and social motivations, and JPMC’s unsubstantiated, ‘woke’ beliefs that it needed to distance itself from President Trump and his conservative political views,” the lawsuit said.In addition, the complaint said that the bank, under the direction of Dimon, had placed President Trump, his family, and some associated entities on a blacklist that was accessible by federal banks, calling it an “intentional and malicious falsehood,” while also adding that the accused have always abided by the law.The suit added allegations of trade libel, breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing by the bank, and violations of Florida’s Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act by Dimon.<h2 class="st-heading-2">JP Morgan’s Response</h2>In response to the lawsuit, JP Morgan issued an official <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20260122070483/en/JPMorganChase-Statement-Regarding-President-Trumps-Lawsuit">statement</a>, saying that the suit has no merit. “We respect the President’s right to sue us and our right to defend ourselves - that’s what courts are for,” the bank said.The bank denied closing Trump’s and associated accounts for political or religious reasons. “We do close accounts because they create legal or regulatory risk for the company.
