(KDP) on Monday unveiled new strategic, financial, and leadership details surrounding its planned acquisition of JDE Peet’s and its subsequent split into two standalone businesses.&nbsp;KDP confirmed a $7 billion strategic investment package co-led by Apollo Global Management Inc. (APO) and KKR &amp; Co. Inc.(KKR), aimed at lowering the company’s projected debt load and strengthening its balance sheet.&nbsp;The new financing structure, which supports the JDE Peet’s acquisition, is expected to reduce net leverage to about 4.6 times at closing in the first half of 2026.&nbsp;Following the announcement,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/KDP">Keurig Dr Pepper stock&nbsp;</a>traded over 8% higher in Monday’s premarket. On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock jumped to ‘bullish’ from’bearish’ territory the previous day. Message volume improved to ‘high’ from ‘low’ levels in 24 hours.&nbsp;The company detailed two major components of the investment plan. The first is a $4 billion joint venture, called the “Pod Manufacturing JV”, co-led by Apollo and KKR with participation from Goldman Sachs Alternatives. This venture will oversee K-Cup and single-serve pod manufacturing, with KDP retaining majority ownership and operational control.The second element includes a $3 billion convertible preferred stock investment in KDP and its forthcoming Beverage Co. subsidiary, carrying a 4.75% annual dividend rate and a conversion premium of 41% over the 20-day trading average ending on October 24.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Capital Structure And Leadership Changes</h2>KDP said both future entities, Global Coffee Co. and Beverage Co., will maintain investment-grade balance sheets, targeting leverage ratios of roughly 3.5–4.0x and 3.75–4.25x, respectively.&nbsp;Consumer goods executive Brian Driscoll will be nominated to KDP’s Board of Directors. French energy major TotalEnergies (TTE) said on Monday that it will sell half of its entire North American solar portfolio to private equity firm KKR &amp; Co for $950 million.The transaction encompasses six utility-scale solar assets with a combined capacity of 1.3 gigawatt (GW) and 41 distributed generation assets totaling 140 megawatt (MW), primarily located in the U.S. Total will retain the remaining stake and continue to operate it after the closing of the deal. The deal values the portfolio at an enterprise value of $1.25 billion.The move aligns with Total’s pledge to divest up to 50% of its renewable assets once they reach their commercial operation date and are de-risked. Last year, it sold half of its stake in a giant offshore wind farm in the UK.“Aligned with our strategy, this transaction unlocks value from newly commissioned assets and further strengthens the profitability of our Integrated Power business,” Stéphane Michel, President of Gas, Renewables &amp; Power at TotalEnergies, said in a statement. TotalEnergies To Sell Half Of North America Solar Portfolio To KKR For $950M, Boosts US Natgas Assets

Sempra Energy (SRE) announced on Tuesday that it has agreed to sell a 45% stake in its Sempra Infrastructure Partners unit to affiliates of KKR (KKR) and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/SRE">Sempra’s stock</a> gained as much as 3.7% in pre-market trade. However, retail sentiment on Stocktwits remained in ‘neutral’ territory amid ‘high’ levels of chatter over the past day. Meanwhile,&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/KKR">KKR’s stock</a> edged 0.2% lower, with retail sentiment on Stocktwits in ‘bearish’ territory amid ‘high’ levels of chatter.The sale of the Sempra Infrastructure Partners interest will help strengthen Sempra’s credit profile and improve its business mix “with a goal of approximately 95% earnings from regulated US utilities,” and it eliminates the need for previously announced equity issuances, the company said.&nbsp;The deal values Sempra Infrastructure Partners at an implied equity value of $22.2 billion and an enterprise value of $31.7 billion, with total proceeds of roughly $10 billion. Under the transaction terms, Sempra is expected to receive 47% of the cash at closing, 41% by the end of 2027, and the remaining balance about seven years after the deal closes.&nbsp;The company stated that this schedule enables it to “generate attractive post-closing interest income as it efficiently reinvests proceeds over time in capital expenditures at its U.S. utilities.”The company expects the deal to close in the second or third quarter of 2026. Upon completion, the KKR-led consortium will hold a majority 65% equity stake in Sempra Infrastructure Partners.
