Being the first successful online cryptography currency, Bitcoin has inspired other alternative currencies such as Litecoin, Peercoin, Primecoin, and so on.  The cryptocurrency then took off with the innovation of the turing-complete smart contract by Ethereum which led to the development of other amazing projects such as EOS, Tron, and even crypto-collectibles such as CryptoKitties.

 BABA shares rose marginally in the premarket session, after falling in each of the last three sessions.

Alibaba and Baidu stocks rose by more than 5% on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Thursday afternoon (local time) amid a sharp, weeks-long rally in Chinese tech stocks and bullish analyst signals.Among other buyers, Ark Investment Management, led by noted investor Cathie Wood, is doubling on Alibaba and Baidu. Ark bought Alibaba stock for the first time in four years last week and started a position in Baidu earlier this year. As Alibaba, Baidu Stock Rally Picks Up Steam, Cathie Wood’s Ark Loads Up Shares

Alibaba and Baidu shares, already at multi-year highs, rose by more than 5% in Hong Kong.

After more than doubling this year, Alibaba's&nbsp;stock is likely to resume its hot winning streak into the new trading week, fueled by fresh bullish signals.According to a Bloomberg report, Morningstar raised its price target on BABA by 49% to $267, while Morgan Stanley raised the target by 21% to $200. Alibaba is the top gainer among tech stocks in Hong Kong this month. Those shares gained 4% by mid-day Monday, taking the monthly gains to nearly 50%.Analysts are widely impressed by the stock's strength, a sharp turnaround from just months ago when it was weighed down by U.S. tariff pressures and heavy spending to compete in China's highly competitive food delivery market. Retail traders were buzzing about Alibaba late Tuesday, following the release of its largest Qwen AI model and rise in the company's Hong Kong shares.On Stocktwits, BABA was the top trending ticker, even as retail sentiment for the stock was 'bearish' as of the last reading.
