Linde India shares up 2% on SAIL order for setting up oxygen plant

The contract involves installation of 1000 tonnes per day cryogenic oxygen plant on construct, operate and maintain (COM) basis for a period of 20 years from the date of commissioning of the plant and ancillary facilities with provision of renewal for a further period of 5 years on mutual agreement basis.Linde India is a 75% subsidiary of The BOC Group Ltd, UK (wholly owned subsidiary of Linde AG and part of the Linde group), is one of the largest players in the domestic gases business. The Linde group is the worlds leading supplier of industrial, process, and specialty gases, with operations across 100 countries.On consolidated net profit declined 41.9% to Rs 99.88 crore in Q1 FY24 as compared with Rs 171.88 crore in Q1 FY23. Net sales jumped 22.6% year on year to Rs 721.01 crore in Q1 FY24 over Q1 FY23.The scrip had added 2.10% to end at Rs 5916.40 on the BSE on Friday.

Linde India bags LoA from SAIL for installation of cryogenic oxygen plant 

Linde India has been awarded a ‘Letter of Acceptance dated 25 August 2023 by Steel Authority of India (SAIL) for installation of 1000 tonnes per day Cryogenic Oxygen Plant on Construct, Operate and Maintain (COM) basis for a period of 20 years from the date of commissioning of the plant and ancillary facilities with provision of renewal for a further period of 5 years on mutual agreement basis at the SAILs plant situated at Rourkela.

Volumes stood at 103.54 lakh shares in the last session.Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd recorded volume of 31970 shares by 14:14 IST on NSE, a 8.69 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 3680 shares. The stock gained 1.41%  to Rs.13,515.85. Volumes stood at 3347 shares in the last session.CESC Ltd witnessed volume of 242.72 lakh shares by 14:14 IST on NSE, a 8.23 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 29.47 lakh shares. The stock increased 7.01%  to Rs.84.00. Volumes stood at 32.51 lakh shares in the last session.Honeywell Automation India Ltd witnessed volume of 11936 shares by 14:14 IST on NSE, a 7.05 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1692 shares. The stock increased 0.80%  to Rs.40,530.10. Volumes stood at 1925 shares in the last session.

Volumes jump at Linde India Ltd counter

The contract includes setting-up of Air Separation Unit (ASU) on a site licensed by IOCL within its Panipat Refinery Complex for production and supply of instrument air, plant air and cryogenic nitrogen to IOCL Panipat Refinery Expansion Project (P25). On completion of the construction and the performance test of the aforesaid ASU, Linde India will enter into requisite Agreements with IOCL for operating and maintaining the facility for a period of 20 years from the first delivery date. Linde India hits all time high after bagging order from IOCL 

Shares of the industrial gases company jumped 15.09% in five trading sessions from its previous closing low of Rs 4,886.65 on 14 August 2023.The stock hit its all time high of Rs 5,675 today. The counter has zoomed 91.76% from its 52-week low of Rs 2,932.85 hit on 2 November 2022.On the BSE, 15,259 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 2,043 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month, advancing 23.07% compared with 2.19% decline in the Sensex.The scrip outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 44.34% as against Sensexs 5.26% rise.The counter had also outperformed the market in past one year, surging 69.51% as against 10.97% jump in Sensex.On the technical front, the stocks daily RSI (relative strength index) stood at 81.035. The RSI oscillates between zero and 100. Traditionally the RSI is considered overbought when above 70 and oversold when below 30.In daily chart, the stock is trading above its 50, 100 and 200 days simple moving average (SMA) placed at 4,640.29, 4,318.90 and 3871.48 respectively.
