Tilray To Produce And Distribute Carlsberg Beer Brands In US – Stock Gains 4%

The multi-year licensing agreement with the Danish brewing giant will allow Tilray to produce and distribute several Carlsberg beer brands in all U.S. channels starting Jan. 1, 2027.

Simon told analysts on a call on Thursday.</li></ul>Tilray Brands (TLRY) stock gave up most of its early gains to trade about 2.5% higher on Friday after Alliance Global slashed its price target on the stock, pointing to limited visibility into the company’s long-term sales trajectory and cash flow following its second-quarter (Q2) fiscal 2026 results.Analyst Aaron Grey reduced Tilray’s target price to $10 from $20 while maintaining a ‘Neutral’ rating. He said the quarter came in largely in line at the consolidated level, with “some strengths offsetting some weaknesses,” but the firm stayed on the sidelines, looking for clearer insight into the company’s sales and cash flow outlook.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Q2 Print</h2>Tilray’s second-quarter (Q2) revenue rose 3% to $217.5 million, beating estimates of $211.5 million, according to Fiscal.ai data. The revenue increase was driven by a 36% jump in international medical cannabis sales. Net loss narrowed to $43.5 million from $85.3 million a year earlier.Operating cash flow remained negative, though it narrowed to $8.5 million compared to $40.7 million last year. Nasdaq-listed shares of Canopy Growth Corp. (CGC) fell 12% in pre-market trading on Friday after the cannabis company <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.canopygrowth.com/investors/news-releases/canopy-growth-reports-fourth-quarter-and-fiscal-year-2025-financial-results/">reported</a> wider-than-expected fourth-quarter (Q4) loss.The company’s fourth quarter revenue fell 11% year-on-year (YoY) to C$65.03 million ($47.16 million), below an analyst estimate of C$70.87 million, according to Finchat data.The company attributed the drop to a decline in net revenue from its international markets cannabis, and Storz &amp; Bickel segments.In Canada, cannabis net revenue was C$40 million in the quarter, marking an increase of 4% YoY. However, across international markets, the revenue declined 35% YoY to C$8 million, owing to a decline in medical cannabis sales in Poland and Australia, the company said.Storz and Bickel, meanwhile, delivered net revenue of C$17 million in the quarter, a decrease of 23% YoY, owing to softer consumer demand for its devices. Storz and Bickel designs vaporizers for combustion-free vaporization and inhalation of dry herbs.The company’s gross margin fell by 500 basis points to 16% in the quarter, and it reported an adjusted loss before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) of C$9 million. Analysts had only expected a loss of C$3.13 million.The company’s total debt, however, decreased to C$304 million as of March 31, compared to C$597 million on the corresponding date of 2024.The company said on Friday that it plans to continue to focus on accelerating growth in global medical cannabis, improving commercial execution, and profitability in Canada’s adult-use cannabis market. Canopy Growth Stock Drops Pre-Market After Disappointing Q4 Earnings: Retail Terms It ‘A Pretty Big Let Down’

Smiths Falls, Ontario-hased&nbsp;Canopy Growth Corp. ($CGC), which has under-delivered relative to expectations in the past few quarters, is scheduled to report its fiscal year 2025 second quarter-results before the market opens on Friday.&nbsp;Analysts, on average, expect the cannabis company to report a quarterly loss of $0.36 per share, narrower than the year-ago loss of $1.15 per share. The consensus revenue estimate is at $46.8 million, down from $53.51 million reported for the second quarter of last fiscal.&nbsp;In the first quarter that ended on June 30, 2024, the company reported revenue of $66.2 million, with roughly 57% coming from the Canadian market. About 15% came from international operations and the remainder from the vaporizer brand Storz &amp; Bickel. The Canadian operation drew equal share of revenue from adult-use cannabis and medical cannabis.Following the second-quarter earnings release, CEO David Klein, who is set to retire by the March quarter, and CFO Judy Hong will host an audio webcast at 10 am ET.In mid-October, the company said it made early prepayment of $100 million worth of senior secured term loan at a discounted price of $97.5 million. Cannabis firm Canopy Growth Corporation was among the top trending stocks on Stocktwits on Friday after the company failed to meet first-quarter earnings estimates.The company reported an earnings loss of C$1.63 compared to an estimated loss of C$0.46 while revenue came in 13% lower on a year-over-year (YoY) basis at C$66.21 million versus an estimate of C$70.1 million.The firm’s net loss widened to C$127.14 million during the quarter compared to a net loss of C$38.12 million in the same quarter a year ago.On the positive side, the company said it has entered into an amendment to its credit agreement with all of the lenders to its senior secured term loan.
