Shenzhen, China-based MicroAlgo Inc.’s (MLGO) shares trended on Stocktwits early Tuesday after the stock recovered in the after-hours following Monday's earnings-induced slump.The provider of bespoke central processing algorithms said it reported a profit of 53.4 million yuan ($7.3 million) for the fiscal year that ended Dec. 31, 2024, reversing from a loss of 266.2 million yuan a year earlier. MicroAlgo (MLGO) shares climbed as much as 16% in midday trading Thursday after WiMi Hologram Cloud (WIMI) announced it had increased its stake in the company to 67.65%.&nbsp;U.S.-listed shares of WiMi also rose, gaining 14% on the news.Alongside the purchase, the company implemented a ten-year lock-up period for its MicroAlgo holdings, reinforcing a long-term commitment to its stake.In 2022,&nbsp;WiMi Hologram Cloud announced that VIYI Algorithm Inc., a company controlled by WiMi, completed a merger with Venus Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company, through a transaction valued at $400 million. (MLGA)&nbsp;soared a whopping 455% in Monday’s regular trading session after the company announced plans to issue additional shares worth $20 million.MicroAlgo entered into a convertible bond purchase agreement with a maturity period of 360 days on Oct. 7, 2024.
