Intels weak fourth-quarter outlook, tied to softer PC demand and manufacturing constraints, overshadowed its quarterly results and prompted analyst downgrades, driving a steep selloff. Reddits sharp selloff follows a strong quarterly report but weaker-than-expected outlook, missed user-growth expectations, and managements warning that Google search referrals are declining. Traders are debating whether the drop is an overreaction to those headwinds or whether the planned logged-in experience could further reduce traffic and growth.

Amazons quarterly earnings miss and heavy AI infrastructure spending, which pushed free cash flow negative, fueled concerns that investment is outpacing returns. Traders were divided: some focused on accelerating AWS growth and bought the post-earnings dip as shares rebounded, while others remained wary of the cash burn.

SanDisk is drawing attention for falling sharply despite beating earnings expectations, raising its outlook and announcing a stock split, amid a broader tech and memory-stock selloff. Traders are debating whether slowing growth and a potential NAND pricing peak justify caution, while bullish voices argue the drop is disproportionate to strong results and AI-driven storage demand.

Bitcoin is the world's first decentralized cryptocurrency, created in 2009 by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto. It enables peer-to-peer electronic cash transactions without intermediaries like banks or governments, operating on a blockchain secured by Proof of Work mining and the SHA-256 cryptographic algorithm. With a fixed supply cap of 21 million coins and programmatic halvings every four years that reduce miner rewards, Bitcoin is designed as a deflationary digital asset often called "digital gold." Its value stems from solving the double-spending problem without trusted intermediaries, creating the first truly scarce digital asset with censorship resistance and permissionless access that no government, corporation, or individual can control. Bitcoin operates as a decentralized peer-to-peer network where transactions are recorded on a public ledger called the blockchain, distributed across thousands of computers globally. Transactions are grouped into blocks added approximately every 10 minutes through mining, where specialized computers compete to solve complex mathematical puzzles. Bitcoin has achieved mainstream adoption through multiple vectors. The January 2024 SEC approval of 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs opened Bitcoin investment to traditional finance participants, and corporations like Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) are using Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset to protect against currency debasement, offering MSTR holders amplified exposure to Bitcoin. The Bitcoin ecosystem continues to evolve with innovations like Ordinals, which emerged in January 2023 to enable NFT-like functionality directly on Bitcoin, and BRC-20 tokens, an experimental standard for creating fungible tokens using Ordinal inscriptions. BTCFi (Bitcoin Finance) represents emerging financial applications extending beyond Bitcoin's traditional role, with protocols like Babylon allowing Bitcoin holders to stake BTC to secure Proof of Stake chains.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin is drawing attention after Binance reported a major security breach, which traders link to crypto selling and liquidations. The community is split between viewing the incident as a warning about exchange and custody risks and arguing that Bitcoin itself was not compromised and the market has held up relatively well.

TGTX is drawing attention after a high-volume surge toward a 52-week high, with traders speculating about short covering or a possible buyout ahead of earnings; no deal or unusual announcement is confirmed. Others point to BRIUMVIs growth and upcoming subcutaneous-trial data as the fundamental backdrop, while cautioning that the rally may reflect earnings expectations rather than takeover news.

Apples unusual resilience as AI-focused tech peers sell off has fueled talk of a safe-haven or anti-AI rotation, with some traders saying its strength is helping support major indexes. Ahead of earnings, bulls point to Apples lower AI spending and established business, while bears warn that its high valuation and product-demand concerns leave it vulnerable to a correction.

Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 - Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1

QQQ is under pressure amid a broad tech selloff, as mega-cap earnings have intensified concerns that rising AI and data-center spending may not generate returns quickly, while Intels weak outlook added to the pressure. Fresenius real-world data comparing DefenCath with ClearGuard is driving the selloff, with traders focused on findings of no statistically significant difference in bloodstream-infection outcomes. Aurinia Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a clinical stage bio-pharmaceutical company, which engages in the research, development, and commercialization of therapeutic drugs. The company was founded by Robert Foster, Richard Glickman, and Michael Martin on June 16, 1993 and is headquartered in Edmonton, Canada.

Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc

Aurinias third-quarter results and higher full-year revenue guidance, driven by continued LUPKYNIS sales growth, are the main focus. Traders generally praise the profitable execution, but some question the slower sequential sales pace and are frustrated that the shares fell despite the report and that an earnings call was unclear or unavailable.

We are talking to the US, but we don’t do deals in a hurry or with deadlines hanging over us,” he said. This comes after he had earlier said that a trade agreement between India and the United States is expected to materialize in the “near future,” with Goyal expressing optimism about finalizing a “fair and equitable” framework.“We are in dialogue with the United States of America. Our teams are engaged. We recently had the Commerce Secretary visit the US, and he met with his counterparts. We continue to engage with them and talks are progressing. We hope to work towards a fair and equitable agreement in the near future,” Goyal had said on Thursday. The discussions centre around a proposed bilateral trade agreement aimed at more than doubling the current bilateral trade to around $500 billion by 2030. India and the US have completed five rounds of talks since February.
FTA With EU
India is also negotiating a free trade agreement (FTA) with the European Union, focusing on key issues such as market access, environmental standards, and rules of origin. These talks come amid growing international pressure from the EU, the UK, and the US for India to reduce its imports of Russian oil, which they claim indirectly supports Moscow’s war in Ukraine. While India has reiterated its stance on energy imports based on national interests, recent developments, including sanctions against Russia’s Rosneft and Lukoil, indicate that India is set to reduce its Russian oil imports. Reports suggest that Indian refiners, including Reliance Industries, plan to cut oil imports from Russia sharply. For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.
