Stocktwits data showed the retail sentiment around the stock was in the ‘bullish’ territory.The $250,000 that GameStop fetched from the&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ebay.com/itm/388688595731">eBay</a> auction of the punctured Switch 2 will go toward charity, earning the video game retailer free viral marketing as well as brownie points for promising to donate the proceeds to a charity.To make the experience complete, GameStop also bundled the stapler as well as the staple that was “carefully extracted and preserved” by the company.The controversy erupted after a GameStop employee stapled the receipts for the Switch 2 console on the box a bit too enthusiastically. Investing.com-- Nintendo Co Ltd (TYO:7974) said on Tuesday evening that its Switch 2 console sold over 3.5 million units worldwide just four days after its June 5 launch, making it one of the fastest-selling consoles ever. 

Nintendo (NTDOY) said Tuesday it is expanding its top-selling Splatoon franchise with ‘Splatoon Raiders,’ a spinoff title set to debut exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2.The company revealed the title in a new&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7ve2zWmkEA&amp;embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.polygon.com%2F">trailer</a> that also previewed a major update for Splatoon 3. It stated that in Splatoon Raiders, players take on the role of a mechanic exploring the Spirhalite Islands, joined by the Deep Cut trio – Frye, Shiver, and Big Man.&nbsp;The trailer depicts their helicopter crash-landing on a remote island, setting the stage for a survival-themed experience. Gameplay footage was limited, but it shows base building, island exploration, and various characters performing tasks such as fishing and scavenging.&nbsp;Nintendo has not confirmed a release date for the spinoff.The company also outlined the next Splatoon 3 update, set to go live on June 12. It stated that the newest patch introduces the Splatlands Collection, which includes 30 new weapon kits from the in-game Barazushi and Emberz brands – weapons based on existing models but with updated sub-weapons and special attacks.&nbsp;The popular Urchin Underpass stage from the original Splatoon on Wii U will also return to the rotation, according to the company.Nintendo stated that Splatoon 3 players on Switch 2 will benefit from upgraded visuals and smoother rendering in areas such as Splatsville and the Grand Festival Grounds. It added that the update will support cross-play between the original Switch and the Switch 2.Nintendo’s U.S.-listed shares edged 0.5% lower in afternoon trade on Tuesday. Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang praised the custom chip powering Nintendo’s (NTDOY) upcoming Switch 2 console on Tuesday, calling it the most advanced graphics solution ever developed for a mobile device.In a&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1929886108113932624">video</a> posted by Nintendo ahead of the console’s launch Thursday, Huang said the Switch 2 integrates “three breakthroughs”–full hardware ray tracing, high dynamic range support, and a new architecture enabling backward compatibility.“It’s unlike anything we’ve built before,” Huang said. He added that the console includes dedicated artificial intelligence processors to “sharpen, animate, and enhance gameplay in real time.”Huang didn't mention any specifications but said that Switch 2 would have "the most advanced graphics ever in a mobile device."Huang also credited former Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata for the vision behind the hybrid system. “Switch 2 is more than a new console,” he said. “It’s a new chapter worthy of Iwata Son’s vision.”The two companies began collaborating in 2015, when Nintendo selected a prototype based on Nvidia’s Tegra X1 system-on-chip (SoC) to power the original Switch. At the time, Huang described the relationship between the two companies&nbsp;as potentially lasting 20 years, given Nintendo’s history of sticking with hardware partners for the long haul.That custom chip helped enable the Switch’s hybrid form factor and has been included in all 132 million units sold since the console's 2017 debut.Nvidia dedicated what Huang previously described as “several hundred engineering years” to customizing the SoC and logic board for Nintendo’s needs. Nintendo shares jump on overwhelming demand for Switch 2 in Japan
