the gainer this morning is $RRC, ~13.6% higher premarket, 45.52 to ~51.70. EQT agreed to buy Range in an all stock deal, 0.987 EQT shares per Range share, about 54.91 at Friday's close, a ~20.6% premium per Reuters. closing expected in the first quarter of 2027. the tell: EQT itself is down ~4% premarket, which puts the offer closer to 52.6 than 54.9, so Range is trading just under the implied value. premarket quote.

$RRC so most people obviously sold this too early when the announcement was made. The question is how high can this go? I’m starting to think no one actually knows. If I understand correctly RRC will just keep going up so long as EQT keeps going up, so it could potentially increase in value quite a bit before the merger. If we get a correction in energy/Natgas this and they start pushing these stocks down RRC soils probably be a good buy

$RRC EQT is buying Range Resources in an all-stock deal, 0.987 EQT shares for each Range share. Reuters puts the equity value at about 12.83 billion dollars, an implied 54.91 dollars a share, a 20.6% premium to Friday's close. Combined, they'd produce over 9 billion cubic feet equivalent a day across nearly 3 million Appalachian acres, with more than 30 years of drilling inventory. Range holders would own about 27% of the combined company, close expected in Q1 2027. Range was up about 16% to around 53 dollars this morning, still a bit below the implied value, and since the pay is stock, that gap moves with $EQT now.
