Litecoin is a cryptocurrency that has evolved from Bitcoin after its own popularity in the industry, this alternative, or ‘altcoin’ has emerged to allow investors to diversify their digital currency package, according to Investopedia. Litecoin is one of the most prominent altcoins and was created by former Google employee and Director of Engineering at Coinbase, Charlie Lee. Litecoin was the first to alter Bitcoin and the most significant difference is that it takes 2.5 minutes for Litecoin to generate a block, or transaction, in comparison to Bitcoin's 10 minutes.  ‘While this matters little to traders, miners who use hardware to run Bitcoin's network cannot switch over to Litecoin. This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

In a note released late Tuesday, Goldman Sachs&nbsp;raised the price target for Reddit stock to $236 from $212 as part of its broader digital advertising second-quarter preview note, according to a summary of the note posted on The Fly. The new price target implied about 20% upside from the&nbsp;last closing price. Goldman, however, maintained a ‘Neutral’ rating on the stock.Factoring in expectations for a continued healthy operating environment, Goldman raised its revenue estimates for Reddit for the period from 2025 through 2027. Analysts at the firm also said their checks revealed continued momentum for Reddit as the company builds scale in core advertising and data-licensing revenues in the second half of 2025 and beyond.In early October, Wells Fargo increased its stock price target for Reddit from $155 to $174 as it increased its revenue estimate modestly, implying a robust 60% year-over-year growth. The law also sought a ban on the platform in the U.S. in the event of non-compliance.The plan would reduce ByteDance’s stake to less than 20%, with the Chinese company getting only one board representation and being excluded from TikTok U.S.’s security committee.&nbsp;TikTok would be majority-owned by U.S. investors, operated in the U.S. by a board of directors with national security and cybersecurity credentials, and subject to strict rules to protect Americans’ data and our national security.The White House statement also stated that Oracle would serve as TikTok’s security provider, monitoring and ensuring the safety of the latter’s operations in the U.S. All U.S. user data would be stored in a trusted, secure, and purpose-built cloud environment in the U.S. run by Oracle. The Trump administration also directed Attorney General Pamela Bondi not to enforce the Biden administration’s TikTok law for 120 days, allowing the divestiture to be completed.&nbsp;A high-level delegation from the U.S. and China, headed by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and&nbsp; Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, discussed the proposed deal at talks held in Madrid earlier this month.&nbsp;Vice President J.D. Vance stated that the new U.S. company would be valued at approximately $14 billion, according to a Reuters report. In an April note, Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives said TikTok’s valuation would be around $100 billion, but without the algorithm, the deal price would be around $30 billion to $40 billion. Snap Stock’s Retail Traders On High Alert For Meme Rally As Buyout Speculation Resurfaces

(RDDT) received two major price target boosts as Wall Street grew more optimistic about its growth strategy, ad business, and data licensing potential.&nbsp;Both Citizens JMP and Piper Sandler raised their price forecasts, citing improved sentiment following meetings and company checks, according to TheFly.Citizens JMP analyst Andrew Boone increased the firm's price target on Reddit stock to $300 from $225 while maintaining an ‘Outperform’ rating. Reddit Stock Gets Major Boost As Wall Street Sees Strong Growth Path: Retail Echoes Confidence

Citizens JMP increased its price target on the stock to $300 from $225, citing that the company appears well-positioned for a series of potential growth triggers through 2026.

President Donald Trump-owned Trump Media &amp; Technology Group Corp. (DJT)&nbsp;slipped in early premarket trading on Tuesday, following gains in the previous session, after a federal appeals court upheld the $83.3 million awarded against him in the defamation case brought by author Jean E. Carroll in 2019.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/DJT">Trump Media stock</a>,&nbsp;often seen as a barometer of the president’s political and business moves,&nbsp;closed Monday up 2.2% at $17.05, with trading volume roughly in line with its three-month average.&nbsp;The stock slipped in overnight trading.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, sentiment improved slightly to ‘neutral’ (45/100) early Tuesday from ‘bearish’ the day before, even as message volume eased back to ‘normal’ levels.The ruling, which was yet to be signed by a three-panel judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan, was made unanimously, the New York Times <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/08/nyregion/trump-e-jean-carroll-defamation.html">reported.</a>Reacting to the ruling, Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, posted a link to a CNBC article on the same and captioned it as “Winners keep winning, @ejeancarroll and, well, Donald, losers just keep on losing--because they're losers.”The defamation case stemmed from Trump's accusation that Carroll’s claims of him assaulting her in a Manhattan department store in the mid-1990s were “totally false.” He had contended that it was done with the motive of selling her book.&nbsp;The plaintiff sued Trump for defamation in November 2019.
