Ripple is the catchall name for the cryptocurrency platform, the transactional protocol for which is actually XRP, in the same fashion as Ethereum is the name for the platform that facilitates trades in Ether. Like other cryptocurrencies, Ripple is built atop the idea of a distributed ledger network which requires various parties to participate in validating transactions, rather than any singular centralized authority. That facilitates transactions all over the world, and transfer fees are far cheaper than the likes of bitcoin. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, XRP transfers are effectively immediate, requiring no typical confirmation time.  Ripple was originally founded by a single company, Ripple Labs, and continues to be backed by it, rather than the larger network of developers that continue bitcoin’s development. It also doesn’t have a fluctuating amount of its currency in existence. Where bitcoin has a continually growing pool with an eventual maximum, and Ethereum theoretically has no limit, Ripple was created with all of its 100 billion XRP tokens right out of the gate. That number is maintained with no mining and most of the tokens are owned and held by Ripple Labs itself — around 60 billion at the latest count.  Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. Analysts’ project a revenue of $1.86 billion in the quarter which is nearly flat to $1.84 billion it posted in the same quarter a year ago.&nbsp;Coinbase is expected to post a 50% drop in its quarterly profit. As per data from fiscal.ai, Coinbase is expected to post a profit of $1.01 per share, compared to $2.04 it posted in the year-ago quarter.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin Weakness</h2>Bitcoin has been falling sharply over the past few weeks as investors continue to stay clear of riskier assets like cryptocurrency due to macroeconomic-induced pullback. The rout has worsened especially since Donald Trump announced Kevin Warsh as the nominee to become the next Federal Reserve chair.&nbsp;The world’s largest cryptocurrency has also been seeing billions of outflows in its ETFs and has been struggling to cross the $80K levels. Bitcoin earlier in the day plunged below $68,000 levels and hit its lowest in 15 months. At the time of writing, BTC was down 6.4% to $68,305.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Downbeat Analyst</h2>BTIG lowered the firm's price target on Coinbase to $340 from $420 and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on the shares ahead of the Q4 report on February 12.&nbsp;The firm said that the stock has fallen 49% since the Q3 report, compared to the total crypto market cap falling 32%. BTIG attributed Coinbase's selloff expectations for Q4 weakness in transaction volume relative to Q3 and the broader market.&nbsp;The firm said it sees an attractive entry point at current share levels. Coinbase is "creating a flywheel" between its trading business and digital asset applications, contends the analyst. Why is COIN Stock Falling More Than 8% Today?

 Coinbase is expected to post a 50% drop in its fourth quarter profit, as per data from fiscal.ai at a time when bitcoin prices have been weighing on crypto linked stocks.

ELF Stock Rallies As Much As 15% After Hours On Strong Q3 Earnings, Upward Guidance Revision For FY26

However the profit fell short of analyst expectations of $0.15 per share.&nbsp;The company saw its global monthly active users (MAU) in Q4 reach 946 million, an increase of 51 million or 6% year-over-year.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Outlook</h2>The company in prepared remarks ahead of its Q4 earnings call said, "For Q1 specifically, our guidance range for revenue is $1.50 billion to $1.53 billion,” It said the Q1 revenue guidance range excludes any potential revenue from the Perplexity integration as it is yet to mutually agree on a path to a broader roll out.”The company estimates that Adjusted core profit will be between $170 million and $190 million in Q1.&nbsp;“As we begin 2026, we are excited to execute on our pivot toward profitable growth and to make incremental progress toward our medium term goal of delivering meaningful Net Income profitability. SNAP Stock Rallies After Hours As Q4 Revenue Growth Impresses Investors

The launch of Gemini 3 was a major milestone and we have great momentum,” Pichai added.&nbsp;“Search saw more usage in Q4 than ever before, as AI continues to drive an expansionary moment, we have executed with incredible speed,” Pichai said in an analyst call.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">YouTube Strength</h2>YouTube revenue across ads and subscriptions exceeded $60 billion for the full year 2025. In the fourth quarter it jumped to $11.4 billion, compared to $10.5 billion from the year-ago quarter.&nbsp;Pichai said that the company continues to see strong subscription revenue growth across YouTube, particularly YouTube Music premium. The firm will soon launch new YouTube TV plans, bringing more choice and flexibility to subscribers with over 10 genre specific packages.YouTube continues to be the number one streamer in the US for nearly three years, according to Nielsen.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Outlook</h2>The technology heavyweight increased its capex outlook in the range of $175 to $185 billion for FY 2026, way above analysts’ consensus of $120 billion.&nbsp;The company said the significant increase in its investments in technical infrastructure will continue to put pressure on its Profit and Loss statement in the form of higher depreciation expense and related data centers. Its revenue was $343.3 million, compared to $382.7 million in the third quarter of 2025, hurt by decline in revenue in the United States due to the lower safe harbor and storage revenue.&nbsp;Analysts on average were expecting a revenue of $340.1 million, as per fiscal.ai. The revenue was also hit by softer demand for its services in the European region as well, the company said in a statement.&nbsp;Company’s adjusted diluted earnings per share of $0.71 in the fourth quarter beat analyst estimates of $0.59 per share, as per fiscal.ai.&nbsp;It said it exited the fourth quarter of 2025 with $1.51 billion in cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities and generated $47.6 million in cash flow from operations.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Outlook</h2>The company expects Q1 2026 revenue to be within a range of $270.0 million to $300.0 million, which includes shipments of 100 to 120 MWh of IQ batteries. This outlook includes approximately $35.0 million of safe harbor shipments. Order strength remains strong from global large data center and enterprise customers, AI, GPU platforms, which represent over 90% of Q2 revenue continue to be the key growth driver,” a SMCI executive said in an analyst call.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Upbeat Q2 Earnings</h2>SMCI reported net sales of $12.7 billion compared to $5.7 billion in the same period year-ago. Of the total revenue, $883 million came from its Semiconductor Test segment, $110 million came from Product Test, and $89 million from Robotics.&nbsp;“Our Q4 results were above the high end of our guidance range, fueled by AI-related demand in compute, networking and memory within our Semi Test business. Across all of our business groups – Semi Test, Product Test, and Robotics – we experienced sequential growth, and at the company level we achieved 13% growth in 2025,” said Teradyne CEO, Greg Smith.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Outlook</h2>The company provided guidance for the first quarter of 2026, with revenue expectations of $1.15 billion to $1.25 billion, and adjusted net income of $1.89 to $2.25 per diluted share.“In 2026, we expect year-over-year growth across all of our businesses, with strong momentum in compute driven by AI,” Smith said.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Upbeat Analyst</h2>Earlier on Monday, Evercore ISI raised the price target on Teradyne to $280 from $200 and kept an ‘Outperform’ rating on the shares.&nbsp;The firm said that it believes the fundamentals on Teradyne are positive, as it sees multiple paths for upside to estimates, according to TheFly.
