VIT, Tata Motors sign MoU to offer B.Tech programme for employees
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPV) to promote continuing education and industry-academia collaboration. The MoU was signed by VIT Registrar Dr. T. Jayabarathi and Sitaram Kandi, Chief Human Resources Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and formally exchanged at the company’s premises in Pune. Under the agreement, VIT will offer a B.Tech programme in Manufacturing Engineering for employees of Tata Motors’ Ranipet plant from the 2026–27 academic session. The MoU exchange was formalised in the presence of VIT Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan and Sitaram Kandi.
