GME Stock On Track For Best Intraday Gains In 10 Weeks — Why Are Retail Traders Excited?

So, ​we'll have better visibility at that point," the CFO reportedly said, while adding that R2 will cost the company less than half as much as its flagship R1 vehicle once production scales in 2027.However, initially, R2 will weigh on margins before aiding them, she added. The company is also watching out for its supply chain to spot any disruptions early, COO Javier Varela told Reuters. Rivian is looking to deliver about 22,000 to 23,000 of its new vehicle model this year.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Recent Setback</h2>The clarification from the company comes on the heels of media reports that a recent tornado damaged part of the company’s factory in Normal, Illinois.CEO RJ Scaringe reportedly told employees in a message on Sunday that a tornado touched down on the plant, impacting areas which were being used for parts storage and logistics for Rivian’s upcoming R2 SUV. &nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Upcoming R2</h2>Deliveries of the smaller, more affordable R2 midsize SUV at the plant is slated to start in Spring this year.The R2, whose entry level variant is expected to start at around $45,000, is expected to compete against Tesla’s best-selling Model Y SUV in the mass market EV segment. However, the company will start deliveries with the more premium Performance variant with a launch package which will have a starting price of $57,990. RIVN Stock Defies Tornado Setback With R2 Production Kickstart

Uber now intends to purchase at least 35,000 Lucid vehicles for use as robotaxis on its platform and committed to an additional $200 million investment in the EV maker, taking its total investment up to $500 million.Uber and Lucid first inked a partnership in July 2025 to deploy at least 20,000 of the latter's Gravity SUVs on Uber by integrating it with California-based startup Nuro Inc’s autonomous driving system. LCID Stock Pops After Hours As Uber Loads Up On More Shares 

The revision in holdings follows an expansion of the agreement between Uber and Lucid to deploy the latter’s electric vehicles as robotaxis on the Uber platform. 

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>AST said on Sunday that its BlueBird 7 satellite, one of the many planned for its space-based cellular broadband network, was placed into a lower than planned orbit.</li><li>Clear Street, meanwhile, lowered the firm's price target on AST SpaceMobile to $115 from $137 and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on the shares following the incident.</li><li>According to data from Koyfin, the 12-month average price target on ASTS is $86.40, representing a potential upside of about 7% from last close.</li></ul> Shares of AST SpaceMobile Inc (ASTS) fell 5% on Monday but edged up 1% after hours on the heels of Wall Street dismissing concerns about Blue Origin's flagship New Glenn rocket failing to place one of its satellites into the intended orbit.The company said on Sunday that its BlueBird 7 satellite, one of the many planned for its space-based cellular broadband network, was placed into a lower than planned orbit. The altitude is too low to sustain operations and hence the satellite will be deorbited, the company said, while adding that the cost of the satellite will be recovered under the company’s insurance policy.AST further added that now it continues to target about 45 satellites in orbit by 2026-end. &nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Wall Street Weighs In</h2>BofA analyst Michael Funk said on Monday that the failure to successfully place BlueBird 7 in planned orbit on April 19th is a “negative shock,” but does not fundamentally change AST SpaceMobile's business.The firm, however, sees risk to AST SpaceMobile meeting its revised target of approximately 45 satellites in orbit by the end of 2026. The company has plans to stack future launches with multiple satellites and expects BlueBird 8 to 10 to be ready to ship in approximately 30 days. Assuming launches every 1-2 months and average satellites stacked per launch of 5.5, this would leave a shortfall of about 7 satellites, the analyst said. The firm has a ‘Neutral’ rating on the shares with a price target of $100.Clear Street, meanwhile, lowered the firm's price target on AST SpaceMobile to $115 from $137 and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on the shares.
