BRIEF:Veracyte said a retrospective analysis of the randomized Phase III STAMPEDE trial showed its Decipher Prostate test can predict benefit from adding abiraterone to ADT in clinically very high-risk nonmetastatic prostate cancer. 
The treatment-by-Decipher interaction for distant metastasis was statistically significant among node-negative patients (p=0.01), indicating treatment benefit differed by Decipher score. 
At five years, adding abiraterone reduced distant metastasis events by 10% in patients with high Decipher scores and 11% in those with very high scores, versus 2% in patients with lower scores. 
The STAMPEDE analysis included 401 patients; Veracyte said the findings add Level 1B predictive evidence and support broader use before treatment-intensification decisions.
