If the accessory separates while the vehicle is in drive, it could create a road hazard for following motorists and increase the risk of collision, the regulator said.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">How Will Tesla Fix The Concern?</h2><p>The recall includes only model year 2024 Cybertrucks manufactured between November 13, 2023, and November 5, 2024, on which an optional off-road light bar accessory was installed by Tesla service. Drivers may detect a noise detectable from inside the cabin if the light bar partially delaminates. They may also observe a gap between the light bar and the windshield, and the light bar may feel loose when touched, the regulator said.</p><p>As a solution, Tesla Service will inspect the light bar and, if necessary, install an additional mechanical attachment or replace the light bar using tape to adhere it to the windshield, along with an additional mechanical attachment as necessary, free of charge to the customer.</p><p>The company has identified 619 warranty claims and one field report that may be related to the condition as of October 24. This is despite a 24% increase in overall battery-electric vehicle registrations in the time frame. Tesla’s market share subsequently fell to 1.4% from 2.3% in the corresponding period of 2024.</p><p>Across the European Union, European Free Trade Association (EFTA), and the U.K., Tesla registrations fell 10.5% in September to 39,837 units and by 28.5% in the nine months through the end of September to 173,694 units.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Rival’s Performance</h2><p>Meanwhile, Tesla’s biggest rival and Chinese EV maker BYD witnessed registrations rise 272% in September in the EU to 13,221 units and by 398% across the EU, EFTA, and the U.K. to 24,963 units.</p><p>German automaker Volkswagen topped registrations in the EU overall in September with 241,368 vehicles registered across fuel types. registrations in the EU in the last month of the third quarter (Q3), Tesla reported earlier in October that it delivered 497,099 vehicles globally in Q3, marking a year-over-year growth of 7.4% and Microsoft Earns A Rating Upgrade From Guggenheim Ahead Of Earnings

(TSLA) on Thursday recalled 63,619 Cybertruck vehicles, citing concerns about the front parking lights, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated.</p><p>The <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2025/RCLRPT-25V699-7285.pdf">recall </a>includes model year 2024-2026 Cybertrucks, where the vehicle controller software may cause the front parking lights to be too bright and exceed the maximum light output. These Cybertrucks were manufactured between Nov. 13, 2023, and Oct. 11, 2025.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">What’s The Concern?</h2><p>Bright front parking lights will adversely affect the vision of other drivers and increase the risk of a crash, the regulator noted.</p><p>As for a fix, Tesla released an over-the-air software update, free of charge to the customer. The release incorporating the fix began rolling out on October 8, the company added.</p><p>Tesla is not aware of any warranty claims or field reports related to this issue, the regulator said.
