Distributed Exchange Through the use of its intermediary currency Lumens (XLM), a user can send any currency that they own to anyone else in a different currency.  For instance, if Joe wanted to send USD to Mary using her EUR, an offer is submitted to the distributed exchange selling USD for EUR. This submitted offer forms is known as an order book. The network will use the order book to find the best exchange rate for the transaction in-order to minimize the fee paid by a user.  This multi-currency transaction is possible because of "Anchors". Anchors are trusted entities that hold people’s deposits and can issue credit. In essence, Anchors serves as the bridge between different currencies and the Stellar network.  Lumens (XLM) Lumens are the native asset (digital currency) that exist on the Stellar network that helps to facilitate multi-currency transactions and prevent spams. For multi-currency transactions, XLM is the digital intermediary that allows for such a transaction to occur at a low cost.  In-order to prevent DoS attacks (aka spams) that would inevitably occur on the Stellar network, a small fee of 0.00001 XLM is associated with every transaction that occurs on the network. This fee is small enough so it does not significantly affect the cost of transaction, but large enough so it dissuades bad actors from spamming the network.   Prior to Protocol 12, Stellar had a built-in inflation mechanism conceived to allow account holders to collectively direct inflation-generated lumens toward projects built on Stellar.  As the network evolved and grew, it became increasingly clear that inflation wasn’t working as intended — account holders either didn’t set their inflation destination or joined inflation pools to claim the inflation themselves, and the operational costs associated with inflation payments continued to rise — and so a protocol change to disable inflation was proposed, implemented, voted on by validators, and ultimately adopted as part of a network upgrade. The legislation, if finalized, would provide full-year funding for food aid, farm and veterans programs, and congressional operations, while extending funding for most federal departments through January 30, 2026.The Senate has yet to provide final sign-off, but the development signals that the vote may pass later this week, easing uncertainty that weighed on risk assets during the extended government shutdown.<h2 class="st-heading-2">ETF Developments Drive XRP Momentum</h2>XRP’s recent rally is fueled in part by expectations of several spot ETF approvals. XRP Outperforms Top Cryptos With 12% Rally Amid Market Recovery

The price of Ripple’s native token jumped by more than 12% in early morning trade on Monday – more than double the gains of any other token in the top 10.

Ripple (XRP) announced Wednesday that it has raised $500 million in new funding at a $40 billion valuation, a move CEO Brad Garlinghouse described as the “cherry on top” for the year.&nbsp;“This investment isn’t just validation of Ripple’s growth strategy and business built on the foundation of XRP, but also a clear bet on what the future of crypto will look like,” he <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/bgarlinghouse/status/1986071514890871293">wrote</a> in a post on X.<figure class="image"><a class="st-link-external" href="https://x.com/bgarlinghouse/status/1986071514890871293" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"><img style="aspect-ratio:918/930;" src="https://news.stocktwits-cdn.com/Screenshot_2025_11_05_093312_png_9f8cd347c8.webp" alt="Screenshot 2025-11-05 093312.png" width="918" height="930"></a><figcaption>@bgarlinhouse/X</figcaption></figure><h2 class="st-heading-2">Funds To Accelerate Stablecoin, Custody, And Prime Brokerage Growth</h2>Ripple stated that it will use its new funds to accelerate growth in custody solutions, stablecoins, and prime brokerage services. The company said that, since the acquisition, client collateral has doubled, average daily transactions have exceeded 60 million, and the business has tripled in size. It added that Ripple Prime is expanding into collateralized lending for XRP.The company stated that it has processed more than $95 billion in Ripple Payments volumes to date, and earlier this week, its stablecoin, RLUSD, surpassed $1 billion in market capitalization.&nbsp;However, the funding round drew criticism from some in the crypto community. Crypto Slide Deepens: Bitcoin Risks Drop To $90K Range, Warns Analyst

Rex Shares and Osprey Funds announced on Monday that they are set to debut the first 'spot' U.S. exchange-traded fund tied to Ripple’s native token, XRP (XRP), the world’s third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, this week.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/XRP.X">XRP’s price</a> slipped 1.4% in the last 24 hours, with retail sentiment on Stocktwits trending in the ‘neutral’ territory. The team did not disclose the exact date of the launch.&nbsp;In a post on X, REX Shares&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://x.com/REXShares">said</a> the REX-Osprey XRP ETF will trade under the ticker XRPR. The fund will primarily hold XRP directly while allocating at least 40% of its assets into shares of other ETFs with exposure to the token, according to&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1771146/000199937125013188/rexosprey-485bpos_091225.htm">the</a> prospectus filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).Currently, several XRP ETFs already offer leveraged exposure to the prominent token&nbsp;through derivatives. These include the Teucrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF (XXRP) and the Volatility Shares Trust XRP ETF (XRPI). However, they do not offer ‘spot’ exposure.&nbsp;Unlike previous attempts by other firms to bring ETFs tied to Ripple’s native token into the market, XRPR is registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, a framework designed to protect investors by imposing governance and transparency requirements on pooled investment funds. This means that, in addition to XRP, it will also hold other assets, such as cash, derivatives, and treasuries.&nbsp;This is the same legal framework that Rex Osprey has&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/cryptocurrency/solana-hits-7-month-high-dogecoin-slips-despite-etf-buzz/chwkBQlRdu5">proposed</a> for their Dogecoin ETF (DOJE). The Rex Osprey Dogecoin ETF is expected to launch on Thursday, according to Eric Balchunas, a Bloomberg Intelligence analyst.
