Small caps staged a comeback in Q3, with ETFs like FESM, RZV, FYX, VTWV, JSML, IWO topping gains. While there are certain tariff risks, the Fed's rate cut potential is a plus. 

An analyst preferred to remain on the sidelines of AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (AMC) as the risk-reward ratio remained balanced.&nbsp;Texas Capital analyst Eric Wold initiated coverage of AMC with a ‘Hold’ rating and a $3 price target, implying over 12% downside from current levels.&nbsp;Wold said the movie-theater chain, helmed by CEO Adam Aron, is well-positioned to benefit from improving theatrical attendance and box office revenues in 2025 and 2026.Earlier this week, AMC announced a record Memorial Day holiday weekend performance in terms of both admissions and food and beverage revenue, driven&nbsp;by the release of big-ticket films such as Tom Cruise’s “Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning” and Disney’s live-action “Lilo &amp; Stitch”.Aron commented on the performance: “Finally, it would appear that our industry has turned a corner.”“A record-setting Memorial Day holiday is yet another sign of the continued strength and relevance of moviegoing in 2025.”The executive also sounded upbeat about the outlook. “With many more potentially huge movies coming in June all the way through the end of 2025, and beyond that deeply into 2026 as well, we firmly expect to be enjoying a robust theatrical box office as we look ahead,” he said.Texas Capital’s caution stems from concerns about AMC’s debt levels.The firm’s analysts see cash flow headwinds due to the company’s elevated debt and major maturities scheduled for the coming years. (AMC) announced discounted ticket pricing on Monday for its Stubs members as the struggling movie theater chain strives to capitalize on the recent resurgence in theater footfall.&nbsp;The Leawood, Kansas-based movie theater chain's new pricing initiative, dubbed '50% off Wednesdays,' will allow its Stubs members to watch the latest releases on the big screen&nbsp;at half the normal adult-evening ticket price each Wednesday.The select discounted pricing scheme will be in effect in the U.S. beginning on July 9. AMC clarified that premium charges for Imax, Dolby Cinema, and other premium large-format (PLF) screens, and online ticketing fees will still apply, and the discount will be on the base ticket price.The latest offer comes on top of the significant discounts for AMC Stubs members on Tuesdays.The Stubs membership is available to moviegoers in four tiers: "Insider," which is a free tier, "Premiere GO," "Premiere," and "A-List."AMC said, "While certain movies and holiday time periods may be excluded from the "50% Off Wednesdays" program, it is envisioned that if successful, this new AMC pricing initiative will be almost universally available at all AMC Theatres in the United States going forward."CEO Adam Aron said the decision to proceed with the new program was made due to the box office boom in April and May, adding that the remainder of 2025 appears poised to continue the upward trend.AMC reported a dip in its first-quarter revenue and a wider loss last week. Due to a healthy box office recovery, it expects further improvements in the coming two years.&nbsp;Roth MKM sees AMC’s free cash flow continuing to remain negative in 2025, potentially necessitating additional equity raises.&nbsp;Cinemark’s report released last week showed that the company reversed to a profit in the fourth quarter, but the earnings per share (EPS) missed the consensus estimate. Revenue climbed 27.5% year over year (YoY) to $814.3 million.&nbsp;Sean Gamble, the CEO of the Plano, Texas-based theater chain, attributed the strong topline performance to better-than-expected industry performance.&nbsp;Cinemark also reinstated its annual cash dividend, which it suspended in 2020.The optimism toward AMC is due to its meme stock potential and the retail buzz. It also reinstated its annual cash dividend, which was suspended in April 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic.
