How will the September CPI print compare to consensus expectations?

The September Consumer Price Index report lands Wednesday, October 14 at 8:30 AM ET, with economists forecasting headline inflation climbing to around 3.7% from August's 3.4% reading, just two weeks before the Fed's October 27-28 meeting. They want inflation high so they can cut rates. Pretty easy to fudge job numbers to look good to justify the cuts. Very transparent plan here.

It is the midterms and they are going to do everything they can to screw Trump. So, it really doesn't matter what is reported. You saw this last week with CNBC. I think it was employment numbers. They were exactly what was expected and in an article, the author himself gave the number and it was exactly what was projected. But, the title of the article said numbers came in less than expected. It is the midterms. It doesn't matter what is reported or in what context. The MSM will make it all bad. You can see this all playing out with what is going on in Canada and Europe. Every single thing move coming out of these two places are designed to hammer Trump for the midterms.

If U know me nothing deep here but just that I am experiencing price drops that overall give me hope and while it might seem small it has been forever since I saw things dropping. My opinion anyways.

For years housing was the biggest contributor to inflation. It makes up 35-36% of the inflation reading, and housing costs are undeniably coming down fast. Energy costs are 6-7% of the CPI and are rising. Everyone expecting high inflation because the gas price looks high. Core CPI last report was 2.4% (most are surprised to hear a figure that low). My bias is lower than expected, or maybe as expected. But either one will show we are past Peak Hawkishness. One of the Fed officials came out today and said "We probably don't need to raise rates this year."

Haha macro stuff's tough to call, but what's got me watching symbol logo$VMAR right now is the real progress on the ground — those Lake Berryessa demo rides and now getting invited to Suntex Marinas to talk charging infrastructure and electric rental fleets. That's the kind of momentum that matters.
