MSTR Stock On Track To Lead Weekly Gains Among Crypto Equities – Bitcoin Rally Puts $1.36B Back On Strategy’s Books

Michael Saylor’s Strategy (MSTR) extended gains in pre-market trade Friday, leading a rally among large-cap crypto-linked stocks after Bitcoin’s (BTC) move above $77,000 pushed the company’s massive Bitcoin holdings back into unrealized profit.

Bitcoin’s price gained over 6% in the last 24 hours, trading at around $77,300 at the time of writing after hitting an intra-day high of over $78,000. At a price of $77,000 per BTC, Strategy’s 840,447 BTC holdings carried roughly $1.36 billion in unrealized gains, according to BitcoinTreasuries data.

MSTR’s stock gained over 8% in pre-market trade and was the top trending ticker on Stocktwits at the time of writing. Retail sentiment around the shares improved to ‘extremely bullish’ from ‘bullish’ over the past day, and chatter increased to ‘extremely high’ from ‘high’ levels.

MSTR, BMNR Lead Weekly Crypto Stock Gains So Far

Strategy and Tom-Lee-backed BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), the largest Ethereum (ETH) digital asset treasury, are on track to lead gains among large-cap crypto-linked equities this week. Both stocks have gained over 15% since Monday amid the cryptocurrency rally. Meanwhile, Robinhood Markets (HOOD) has lagged the cohort, down more than 1% so far this week.

BMNR’s stock gained around 4% in pre-market trade, with retail sentiment trending in ‘extremely bullish’ territory alongside ‘extremely high’ levels of chatter over the past day. Ethereum’s price also lagged Bitcoin with a 4.3% gain in the last 24 hours, trading at around $2,300. Pre-market gains put MSTR stock on track to outpace BitMine in weekly gains.

Crypto Stocks Rebound From Steep 12-Month Losses

MSTR stock may be leading gains this week, but it has underperformed peers over the past 12 months. Robinhood has held up best, declining about 9.7% over the past 12 months despite Bitcoin’s broader downturn.

Strategy was hardest hit, with MSTR stock down nearly 70% over the past year. BMNR has fallen nearly 60% over the same period.

HOOD stock gained over 5%. In pre-market trade, retail sentiment improved to ‘bullish’ from ‘neutral’ over the past day, while chatter stayed at ‘normal’ levels.
