Pfizer Confirms Death Of Patient Enrolled In Hemophilia Drug Study

(<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/CIFR">CIFR</a>) announced that it is acquiring a 200-megawatt (MW) site in Ohio, called “Ulysses,” which will expand its footprint beyond Texas.The acquisition includes 195 acres of land, secured capacity, and utility agreements. The site is expected to be connected with the power grid by the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2027, after which Cipher will gain access to PJM, the nation’s largest wholesale electricity market.The acquisition site is also suitable for high-performance computing (HPC) due to its size, energization timeline, diverse fiber-path availability, and proximity to a major metropolitan area, the company said.Shares of Cipher Mining are up about 0.6% on Tuesday at the time of writing.<h2 class="st-heading-2">AI And HPC Expansion</h2>The latest Ohio site acquisition will not only expand Cipher’s geographical impact but will also increase its development pipeline to 3.4 GW across eight sites. Before this deal, the company had a pipeline of about 3.2 GW that was prioritized for HPC.“Hyperscalers are driving unprecedented demand for large-scale sites,” said Tyler Page, CEO of Cipher Mining. “Leveraging our proven sourcing capabilities, Cipher is continuing to seize the opportunity to shape the future of high-performance computing infrastructure. This new site, in a new power market, gives us additional capacity to continue expanding our HPC hosting business while broadening our geographical footprint.”The crypto mining platform has been aggressively pushing into the artificial intelligence (AI) and HPC space. In November, the company secured a 10-year HPC <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/why-did-cipher-mining-stock-surge-12-pre-market-today/cLPAKNeREa2">colocation deal</a> with AI cloud company Fluidstack to provide 39 MW of critical IT load at its Barber Lake site in Texas. Cipher Mining Expands Beyond Texas With 200 MW Ohio Site Acquisition

Cipher Mining’s acquisition of “Ulysses” includes 195 acres of land and secured capacity with utility agreements that will connect with the power grid by Q4 2027.

(<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/SATS">SATS</a>) shares were in focus on Tuesday after the company received two price target updates from UBS and Citi, both of which underscored the impact of its <a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/SPACEX">SpaceX</a> stake.UBS lowered EchoStar’s price target to $125 from $128 while maintaining a ‘Neutral’ rating on the shares, according to TheFly. And in a separate note, Citi raised EchoStar’s price target to $111 from $87 with a ‘Neutral’ rating, as seen in TheFly.<h2 class="st-heading-2">The SpaceX Impact</h2>UBS noted that EchoStar’s pivot from a wireless operator to an investment company after the sale of about 75%-80% of its spectrum portfolio for roughly $43 billion warranted a valuation shift. UBS assigned $11B to the remaining spectrum based on precedents, resulting in the revised price target.However, the firm added that the company’s 3% SpaceX stake, now implied at about $22B or roughly $65 per share assuming an $800 billion valuation, represented a significant upside versus prior marks. Meanwhile, Citi analyst Michael Rollins hiked EchoStar’s price target, citing recent reports that SpaceX’s upcoming public listing at an allegedly $800B could double the pre-tax value of the cost basis for its SpaceX shares that it would receive after its pending spectrum sales.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Spectrum Deals</h2>In September, EchoStar agreed to sell its AWS-4 and H-block spectrum licenses to SpaceX in a $17 billion cash-and-stock deal that would give the satellite company up to $8.5 billion in SpaceX stock. Some media reports have also suggested that SpaceX may go public through a reverse merger with Echostar.Apart from the SpaceX deal, EchoStar also agreed to sell about $23 billion worth of low-band and mid-band wireless spectrum to AT&amp;T in August. According to Instacart, several retailers rely on Eversight to optimize pricing including The Giant Company, Schnucks, and Kroger. Grocers who used Eversight have recorded revenue growth of 1-3%, according to the company.However, this caused shoppers to pay different prices for identical items from the same store.“We understand that the tests we ran with a small number of retail partners that resulted in different prices for the same item at the same store missed the mark for some customers. At a time when families are working exceptionally hard to stretch every grocery dollar, those tests raised concerns, leaving some people questioning the prices they see on Instacart. So far, Rivian’s older car system employed Nvidia Orin chips.This chip will power Rivian’s third-generation compute module, the Gen 3 Autonomy Computer, which the company said would achieve 1600 sparse INT8 TOPS (trillion operations per second). This will enable the new system to process five billion pixels per second.In addition, the company said it planned to launch an Autonomy+ subscription in early 2026 for its next-gen customers. Rivian Stock Rallies Post Needham, Goldman Price Target Hikes Following AI & Autonomy Day

Rivian received two price target upgrades, from Goldman Sachs and Needham, following multiple announcements at its AI and autonomy event. 

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Under the DOJ resolution, the companies will divest two natural gas plants, York 2 in Pennsylvania and Jack Fusco in Texas.</li><li>The companies had already offered to divest four of Calpine’s power plants in the Mid-Atlantic region as part of a separate agreement with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.</li><li>The acquisition, involving both stock and cash payments, would create the country’s largest power fleet.</li></ul>Constellation (CEG) on Friday said that it has cleared the final regulatory step to complete the $16.4 billion acquisition of Calpine Corporation announced earlier this year in a bid to create the country’s largest power fleet.The company <a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.constellationenergy.com/newsroom/2025/12/constellation-reaches-resolution-with-us-department-of-justice-for-calpine-transaction.html">said</a> that it has reached a resolution with the U.S. Department of Justice on the conditions required to complete the acquisition.<h2 class="st-heading-2">The Settlement</h2>As part of the resolution, Constellation has agreed to divest multiple assets including York 2, a 828-megawatt natural gas-fired, combined-cycle plant in Pennsylvania, as well as the Jack Fusco Energy Center, a 605-megawatt natural gas fired combined cycle facility located outside Houston, Texas.The company also agreed to divest a minority ownership interest in the Gregory Power Plant, a 385-megawatt natural gas-fired combined cycle near Corpus Christi, Texas. Constellation expects to receive attractive value for the sale of the assets. Constellation and Calpine can begin to close the transaction once the court has signed the stipulation and order agreed to by them and DOJ.DOJ said that the settlement resolves the Antitrust division’s concerns that the acquisition would harm competition and lead to higher prices on consumers reliant on the ERCOT and PJM electricity grids.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Previous Divestment Commitments</h2>The company received necessary regulatory approvals from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the New York Public Service Commission and the Public Utility Commission of Texas earlier. The companies had already offered to divest four of Calpine’s power plants in the Mid-Atlantic region as part of a separate agreement with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.The acquisition involves both stock and cash payments.Together, Constellation and Calpine will have nearly 60 gigawatts of capacity from zero- and low-emission sources, including nuclear, natural gas, geothermal, hydro, wind, solar, cogeneration and battery storage, the companies said in January.<h2 class="st-heading-2">How Did Stocktwits Users React?</h2><a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/CEG">CEG shares</a> closed down 3% on Friday.
