Even at the recently reduced value of around half a dollar per XRP, that means Ripple Labs is currently sitting on around $20 billion worth of the cryptocurrency (note: Ripple’s price crashed hard recently, and may be worth far less than $60 billion by time you read this). It holds 55 billion XRP in an escrow account, which allows it to sell up to a billion per month if it so chooses in order to fund new projects and acquisitions. Selling such an amount would likely have a drastic effect on the cryptocurrency’s value, and isn’t something Ripple Labs plans to do anytime soon.  In actuality, Ripple Labs is looking to leverage the technology behind XRP to allow for faster banking transactions around the world. While Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are built on the idea of separating financial transactions from the financial organizations of traditional currencies, Ripple is almost the opposite in every sense. It also completed three high-yield offerings to fund the construction of data centers at the Barber Lake and Black Pearl sites.During the quarter, the company also secured 600 MW of total contracted HPC capacity through two agreements, a 15-year, 300 MW lease with AWS and a 10-year, 300 MW lease with Fluidstack and Google.“Building on a transformative 2025, the fourth quarter reflected continued momentum as we advanced our evolution into a leading HPC data center development company. During the quarter, we upsized our initial lease with Fluidstack and Google and signed our first HPC lease with Amazon. (CAN) announced the acquisition of Cipher Digital’s 49% stake in the ABC Projects joint venture in Texas for about $39.75 million, paid in newly issued shares. The sites operate 120 MW of power capacity and support roughly 4.4 EH/s of hashrate.As part of the deal, Canaan also purchased 6,840 Avalon A15Pro mining rigs. There's a lot of opposition to what they want to do on things, and they can't seem to break through and finish and I think that's part of the reason there are some disruptions in this crypto world,” Waller said.&nbsp;The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025, also called the CLARITY bill, is aimed to make it easier to handle digital assets, add protections for consumers, and provide businesses and regulators with a clear set of rules.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Skinny Master Accounts</h2>Waller said that the central bank is planning to roll out its ‘skinny master accounts’ proposal before the end of the year. ‘Skinny’ accounts are a proposal from the Federal Reserve that would be focused on payments and without the full functionality of a traditional bank master account.Waller touted it as capable of spurring innovation in the payments space, while balancing Fed’s risk exposure as these accounts would not receive interest on balances or provide overdraft protection.&nbsp;“I would like to try to have this done by the end of the year if possible,” Waller said at the event.“They (skinny accounts) have all kinds of services that go with and they make payments through the Fed rails. You have access to fed wire, ACH payments, you get intraday credit if your account goes negative to Fed most of the money during the day,” Waller said.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Bitcoin Prices</h2>On the selloff, Waller said that the crypto sector is detached from the traditional finance world and can therefore see ‘big crashes’.&nbsp;“I think there was a lot of sell off, just because firms that got into it from mainstream finance had to adjust their risk positions,” he said.&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/coins/bitcoin">Bitcoin price</a> at the time of writing fell nearly 1% to $70,331.49.
