Litecoin was the first to alter Bitcoin and the most significant difference is that it takes 2.5 minutes for Litecoin to generate a block, or transaction, in comparison to Bitcoin's 10 minutes.  ‘While this matters little to traders, miners who use hardware to run Bitcoin's network cannot switch over to Litecoin. This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

PayPal topped Q2 earnings and revenue estimates but slid 8% as slowing transaction margins weighed on investor sentiment. ETFs like IPAY and FINX should be monitored closely. 

Buy-now, pay-later (BNPL) platform provider Affirm Holdings, Inc. (AFRM) stock added an incremental 2.74% in Monday’s after-hours session following a 5%+ rally in the regular session.The gains in the extended trading hours came after the San Francisco, California-based company received a bullish recommendation from a Wall Street firm.TheFly reported that TD Cowen Securities initiated coverage of Affirm Holdings stock with a ‘Buy’ rating and a $50 price target, implying 33% upside from current levels.Analysts at the firm named Affirm as one of the top performing buy-now-pay-later brands in the U.S. with a full-suite point-of-sale lending capability versus peers. BNPL Player Affirm Holding’s Stock Rises After-Hours On Analyst’s Bullish Initiation But Retail Stays Cautious

(NCNO) shares fell sharply in Tuesday's after-hours session after the Wilmington, North Carolina-based company announced sub-par quarterly earnings and downbeat forward guidance.The company reported adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $0.12 for the fourth quarter of 2025, sharply lower than the year ago's $0.21 and the Koyfin-compiled consensus estimate of $0.19.&nbsp;nCino clarified that the adjusted EPS included a loss of $0.09 due to non-operating, predominantly non-cash foreign currency fluctuations on intercompany loans.The company, which provides a platform for the banking industry, reported revenue of $141.4 million, up 14% year over year (YoY) and exceeding the consensus estimate of $140.81 million.The guidance issued in December called for an adjusted EPS of $0.18-$0.19 and revenue of $139.5 million to $141.5 million.&nbsp;Subscription revenue jumped 16% YoY to $125 million, exceeding the guidance of $122.5 million to $124.5 million.CEO Sean Desmond said, "We ended the year strong, with meaningful year-over-year subscription revenues and ACV growth, while continuing to realize efficiencies across our operations."The executive touted the artificial intelligence (AI) opportunity as the company embeds the technology across onboarding, account opening, lending, and portfolio management offerings that span commercial, consumer, small business, and mortgage lines of business globally.The company announced a stock repurchase authorization for buying shares worth up to $100 million.nCino guided first-quarter adjusted EPS of $0.15 to $0.16 and revenue of $138.75 million to $140.75 million, trailing the consensus estimates of $0.21 and $145.51 million, respectively.The company expects fiscal year 2026 adjusted EPS and revenue of $0.66 to $0.69 and $574.5 million to $578.5 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the second-quarter results exceeded expectations.&nbsp;The company, which provides a financial operations platform for small and midsize businesses, reported second-quarter non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) of $0.56, up from $0.51 a year ago, and beating the consensus estimate of $0.47 and the guidance of $0.44-$0.48.Revenue increased 14% year over year (YoY) to $362.6 million, with subscription revenue rising 7% to $67.7 million and transaction fees increasing 19% to $251.9 million. However, the growth rate slowed from the first quarter.The top line exceeded the guidance of $355.5 million to $360.5 million and the $360.07 million consensus estimate.Float revenue, comprising interest on funds held for customers, was $42.9 million.Among operational metrics, the number of businesses served numbered 481,300 at the end of the second quarter, and the second-quarter total payment volume rose 13% YoY to $84 million.
