Galmed was given 180 days to regain compliance, with the deadline on July 28, 2026.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Early Data Shows Promise In Preventing Disease Progression</h2>The new Aramchol formulation uses lipid nanoparticles delivered via injection and is designed to cross the blood–brain barrier (BBB), a major obstacle that prevents most drugs from reaching the brain. This can be especially useful to treat central nervous system disorders like Parkinson’s disease.Initial data showed that Aramchol reduced harmful protein buildup (α-synuclein) without causing toxicity. This suggests it could help slow or prevent disease progression.
