<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Lucid announced that Uber is investing an additional $200 million in the company, increasing its total investment to $500 million.</li><li>The company also stated that PIF affiliate Ayar Third Investment has committed to a new investment of $550 million in new investment in Lucid, bringing the total investments announced today to $750 million.</li><li>Lucid also named Silvio Napoli as its new CEO, after the sudden exit of veteran Peter Rawlinson more than a year ago.</li></ul><p>Lucid Group Inc. (LCID) shares rallied more than 13% in Tuesday’s pre-market trade before giving up some of the gains after the company named a new CEO and new investments from Uber Technologies Inc. (UBER) and Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, Public Investment Fund.</p><p>Lucid has expanded its partnership with Uber, with the ride-hailing giant increasing its purchase commitment to at least 35,000 Lucid vehicles to be used in Uber’s robotaxi service.</p><p>If Lucid shares continue the initial momentum when the market opens on Tuesday, it would be the LCID stock’s biggest single-day gain in nearly three months.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Lucid Secures $750M Investment</h2><p>Lucid announced that Uber is investing an additional $200 million in the company, increasing its total investment to $500 million.</p><p>The company also stated that PIF affiliate Ayar Third Investment has committed to a new investment of $550 million in Lucid, taking the new total investments announced today to $750 million.</p><p>Uber has also ramped up its commitment to purchase Lucid vehicles for its robotaxi service by 75%, increasing it to 35,000 units. This is up from the previously announced pledge of over 20,000 vehicles in July 2025.</p><p>“We continue to deepen our commitments with both Lucid and Nuro because both companies are executing extremely well against our fast-moving shared roadmap. That strong execution keeps us on track to deepen our investment and increase the number of vehicles we plan to deploy,” said Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.</p><p>He added that Lucid's future Midsize platform creates an even clearer path to stronger unit economics.</p><p>The company also announced a new $300 million offering of its common stock, expected to close on or about April 15, 2026.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Meet Lucid’s New CEO</h2><p>Lucid announced that Silvio Napoli will be the company’s new CEO, taking charge of the automaker from veteran Peter Rawlison, who led the company for six years.</p><p>Napoli has previously led the Schindler Group and will relocate to the U.S. from Switzerland to lead Lucid.</p><p>Napoli’s appointment comes more than a year after the abrupt exit of Rawlinson, who announced his resignation after the launch of the Lucid Gravity SUV in February 2025.</p><p>Following Rawlin’s exit, Lucid cautioned that its Midsize platform may either be delayed or that it may not launch at all. However, last month, the company provided more details about the platform, featuring an all-new electric drive unit. <ul class="summary-bullets"><li>The court concluded that Reddit's claims allege extra elements that are qualitatively different from the rights protected by the Copyright Act.</li><li>In June last year, Reddit filed a lawsuit against Anthropic in the San Francisco Superior Court, alleging breach of contract and unjust enrichment.</li><li>Anthropic has been trying to keep the case in Federal Court by arguing that Reddit’s case implicates federal copyright law and thus must remain there.</li></ul><p>Reddit (<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/RDDT">RDDT</a>) stock jumped&nbsp;nearly 3% on Friday after the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, granted Reddit's motion to remand against Anthropic.</p><p>Motion of remand is a legal request to send the case back to where it was originally removed.&nbsp;</p><p>According to a ruling posted on its website, the court concluded that Reddit's claims allege extra elements that are qualitatively different from the rights protected by the Copyright Act. “Accordingly, Plaintiff's Motion to Remand is tentatively GRANTED, and this action should be returned to the San Francisco Superior Court,” the filing said.</p><p>“After reviewing the parties’ briefs, the relevant legal authority and the pleadings, the Court tentatively finds that while Reddit’s content at issue may fall within the broad subject matter of copyright, none of the asserted causes of action against Defendant Anthropic PBC seeks to vindicate rights equivalent to those protected by copyright,” the court added.</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Anthropic’s Efforts</h2><p>Anthropic has been trying to keep the case in Federal Court by arguing that Reddit’s case implicates federal copyright law and thus must remain there.</p><p>Anthropic last year said that Reddit’s allegation that Anthropic scraped the platform’s user posts to train its large language model is a “quintessential” copyright claim. It said in a court filing that “federal court is the proper forum for Reddit’s claims.”</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Reddit’s Claims</h2><p>Reddit&nbsp;had filed a lawsuit against Anthropic in the San Francisco Superior Court last year in June, alleging a breach of contract, unjust enrichment, tortious interference, and unfair competition. Reddit Stock Up After Receiving ‘Motion To Remand’ Against Anthropic In Scraping Row

U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said that Reddit’s case against Anthropic should return to the San Francisco Superior Court.

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Mizuho lowered the firm's price target on SailPoint to $16 from $20 and kept a ‘Neutral’ rating on the shares.</li><li>Mizuho said SAIL reported "muted" annual recurring revenue upside with an "underwhelming" fiscal 2027 guidance.</li><li>BMO Capital analyst Keith Bachman lowered the firm's price target on SailPoint to $17 from $25.</li></ul><p>SailPoint (SAIL) shares fell 2%&nbsp;in Wednesday’s&nbsp;extended trading hours after a slew of analysts&nbsp;on Wall Street slashed their price targets on the stock after the company's “underwhelming” revenue projection for its first quarter of 2026.&nbsp;</p><p>SAIL reported total revenue of $295 million, an increase of 23% year-over-year. Subscription revenue was $281 million, an increase of 25% year-over-year. It was above analyst expectations of $292.7 million, according to Stocktwits&nbsp;data.&nbsp;</p><p>However, the company projected&nbsp;first-quarter (Q1) FY26 revenue to be in the range of $273 million to $277 million that was below analysts’ estimates of $280.8 million.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Price Cuts</h2><p>Mizuho lowered the firm's price target on SailPoint to $16 from $20 and kept a ‘Neutral’ rating on the shares. The company reported "muted" annual recurring revenue upside with an "underwhelming" fiscal 2027 guidance, the analyst told investors in a research note. However, the firm believes SailPoint's AI identity is off to a solid start, the note said, as per TheFly.&nbsp;</p><p>TD Cowen lowered the firm's price target on SailPoint to $19 from $25 and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on the shares. The firm said that given broader market contraction, it has cut its price target on SailPoint despite "solid" Q4 results highlighted by 38% SaaS annual run-rate growth, 28% overall ARR growth, and solid but conservative guidance.</p><p>BMO Capital analyst Keith Bachman lowered the firm's price target on SailPoint to $17 from $25 and kept an ‘Outperform’ rating on the shares. SailPoint Disappoints Wall Street With Its Downbeat Q1’26 Revenue Projection

 SAIL projected Q1 FY26 revenue to be in the range of $273 million to $277 million that was below analysts’ estimates of $280.8 million. 

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>The&nbsp;airline&nbsp;company has&nbsp;been pressured by rising fuel costs&nbsp;since the start of the&nbsp;U.S.&nbsp;and Israel's war with Iran.</li><li>Scott Kirby said United Airlines is succeeding in navigating higher fuel prices.&nbsp;</li><li>Kirby said the airline has cut a point of capacity reductions for the months of June and May and plans to extend it as well.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Shares of United Airlines (UAL) rose on Tuesday after its chief executive officer&nbsp;made optimistic remarks&nbsp;about the airline's revenue growth during a JPMorgan Industrials Conference.&nbsp;</p><p>Shares of UAL jumped 4.5% at the time of writing.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Strong Revenue For UAL&nbsp;</h2><p>“The revenue environment is really strong. By the way, we have a goal this year to fully offset the increase in fuel prices, which is about $4.6 billion at the moment for revenue to fully offset,” Scott Kirby, CEO of United Airlines said in the conference.&nbsp;</p><p>The&nbsp;airline&nbsp;company has&nbsp;been pressured by rising fuel costs&nbsp;since the start of the&nbsp;U.S.&nbsp;and Israel's war with Iran that&nbsp;has led to an increase in crude oil prices across the globe. Iran has effectively blocked the critical oil supply route of&nbsp;the Strait of Hormuz.&nbsp;</p><p>Kirby also said that the airline has about a $400 million headwind in the quarter related to higher fuel prices. “That's consistent with what you've heard from our peers. So it shouldn't be a big surprise. And we're having a lot of success passing through price,” he added.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Cut Capacity</h2><p>Kirby said the airline has cut a point of capacity reductions for the months of&nbsp;May and&nbsp;June, and plans to extend it&nbsp;</p><p>“I'd much rather and proactively at the near term, at least, mostly means cutting capacity and eliminating marginal flying. I'd much rather make the mistake of leaving a couple of months worth of demand on the table, because we cut more, and then you can get it back, as opposed to making the mistake of oil prices stay higher and longer and you're flying flights that lose cash. UAL Stock Rises After CEO Scott Kirby Reaffirms Strong Revenue Despite Fuel Price Surge

United Airlines’ CEO said that the airline has about a $400 million headwind in the quarter related to higher fuel prices.

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Muddy Waters alleged that SOFI’s charge-off data seemingly contains a mathematical impossible.&nbsp;</li><li>The short seller&nbsp;also alleged that&nbsp;SOFI uses ‘manipulative’ financial modeling techniques, on its $12.9 billion student loan portfolio that generates approximately $450 million per year in Day 1 Fair Value gains.&nbsp;</li><li>The report said there is possibility that there are more extensive misstatements that the short seller have not detected.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Short seller Muddy Waters Research on Tuesday revealed a short position on SoFi Technologies (<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/SOFI">SOFI</a>)&nbsp;shares and alleged that the financial technology firm&nbsp;had a material misstatement of at least $312 million of unrecorded debt.&nbsp;</p><p>Shares closed&nbsp;1.5% lower on Tuesday.&nbsp;</p><p>“If we are correct, it raises the possibility that there are more extensive misstatements we have not detected,” Muddy Waters said in its&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://muddywatersresearch.com/research/2026/mw-short-0317/">report</a>.&nbsp;</p><p>“SOFI is a financial engineering treadmill, not a healthily growing origination business. SOFI shareholders are incessantly diluted so management can hit bonus targets through GE Capital-style loan marks and Enron-esque off-balance-sheet structures that disguise borrowings as revenue,” it added.&nbsp;</p><p>“Per our estimates, and excluding external financings, it is increasingly likely Anthony Noto would lose substantially all of his $10+ million PSU performance bonus if not for the intellectually dishonest and misleading financial reporting we have outlined in this report,”&nbsp;Muddy Waters&nbsp;said.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Off-Balance-Sheet Parking</h2><p>Muddy Waters alleged that SOFI’s charge-off data seemingly&nbsp;contained a mathematical impossibility that strongly implies loans are being charged off outside SOFI’s reported metrics.&nbsp;</p><p>“The only explanation of which we can conceive is that SOFI is parking defaulted loans off balance sheet before charge offs,” the report said.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">SOFI’s&nbsp;Response</h2><p>SOFI&nbsp;responded to the short seller report,&nbsp;saying that it intends to explore potential legal action against Muddy Waters for the factually inaccurate and misleading report.</p><p>“The claims made in the Muddy Waters report demonstrate a fundamental lack of understanding of our financial statements and business,”&nbsp;the company said. “SoFi maintains strong confidence in the integrity of our financial reporting,”.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Retail Reaction</h2><p>Retail sentiment around SOFI stock trended in&nbsp;the ‘bullish’ territory amid ‘high’ message volume.&nbsp;</p><p>Shares in the company have fallen 35% so far in 2026.&nbsp;</p><p><i>For updates and corrections, email newsroom[at]stocktwits[dot]com.</i></p>

SOFI Shares Slip After Muddy Waters Takes Short Position — What’s The Rationale?

As a result, customers are charged hundreds or thousands of dollars more for their loans than they expect. Attorney General James and the coalition are seeking court orders to stop OneMain’s “misleading and abusive practices” and to collect restitution for consumers who were “cheated”.</p><p>In a vicious cycle, consumers are often forced to refinance into more expensive loan packages in order to keep up with payments to OneMain, at which point OneMain misleads them again and packs more products into their loans, the statement said.&nbsp;</p><p>“OneMain targets people who are already struggling financially, saddling them with hidden fees and misleading loans to trap them in even more debt,” said Attorney General James. “These predatory tactics are driving up costs for working families across New York and the country. Today I am taking action to stop OneMain’s illegal and abusive business model and get New Yorkers their money back.”</p><h2 class="st-heading-2">Other Analyst Takes</h2><p>BofA analyst Mihir Bhatia earlier in the month lowered the firm's price target on OneMain to $66 from $74 and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on the shares.
