Litecoin is one of the most prominent altcoins and was created by former Google employee and Director of Engineering at Coinbase, Charlie Lee. Litecoin was the first to alter Bitcoin and the most significant difference is that it takes 2.5 minutes for Litecoin to generate a block, or transaction, in comparison to Bitcoin's 10 minutes.  ‘While this matters little to traders, miners who use hardware to run Bitcoin's network cannot switch over to Litecoin. This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

Retail sentiment around QQQ on Stocktwits improved to ‘bullish’ from ‘bearish’ territory over the past day and was among the top trending tickers on the platform.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">AI Supercycle Still Intact</h2>Even with the pullback, Gerstner rejected the notion that markets are in a bubble. He likened the current artificial-intelligence boom to past technology “supercycles” that ultimately exceeded early expectations despite short-term corrections. Altimeter manages public equity funds that primarily invest in technology companies.“My experience living through three supercycles — internet, social media, and cloud — they all ended up far bigger than we thought,” he said. “We’re going through this digestion phase. I think digestion is good, because that prevents the bubble that everybody was worried was forming. The stock may also be getting a lift from improving sentiment following Thursday’s tech backlash.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/INTC">Intel’s stock</a> has been on a strong run this year, thanks to the turnaround initiatives the company implemented under new CEO Lip-Bu Tan and the public and private investments it managed to attract.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Musk Mulls Using Intel</h2>Speaking at Tesla’s (TSLA) annual shareholder meeting, Musk outlined his plans for artificial intelligence chips, stating that the company will transition to the next iteration of its in-house AI chip, namely AI6, within a year and double the performance metrics. The company teased its AI5 chips this week, which would power its autonomous driving ambitions.&nbsp;The billionaire said Tesla would potentially source chips from Intel. While expressing his respect for current partners TSMC and Samsung, Musk said, “Maybe we’ll work with Intel.” Despite profitability issues with its foundry business, Intel has continued to pursue it.&nbsp;That said, the Tesla CEO also hinted at building its own chip foundry. “But even when we extrapolate the best-case scenario for chip production from our suppliers, it is still not enough,” he said.“I can't see any other way to get to the volume of chips we are looking for, so I think we will have to build a gigantic chip fab.”<h2 class="st-heading-2">What Retail Feels About Intel Stock</h2>On Stocktwits, retail investors continued to hold a ‘bearish’ view toward Intel stock as of early Friday, and the message volume continued to stay ‘low.’ The negative sentiment may have been due to valuation concerns following the strong run-up this year and the AI pessimism that has pervaded into the tech sector and into the broader market.As recently as this week, Tigress Financial raised its price target for the Intel stock to $52 from $45 and kept a ‘Buy’ rating on the stock, according to the Fly. Intel Stock Rises Nearly 2% Premarket After Musk Teases Possible Chip Partnership 

 The chipmaker’s stock is on track to add to its stellar gains this year after Musk hinted at tapping Intel as a supplier.

(NVDA) stock trended on Stocktwits late Thursday after an Information report said the U.S. seeks to block the Jensen Huang-led company’s latest scaled-down artificial intelligence (AI) chips from entering China.In overnight trading,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/NVDA">Nvidia stock</a> was down nearly 1%, according to Yahoo Finance. The chipmaker’s stock has been on a three-session losing streak amid broader market weakness and concerns about a potential bursting of the AI bubble. Since Monday, Nvidia’s stock has shed over 9%.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Trump Walks The Talk?</h2>The White House has ordered federal agencies to disallow Nvidia’s latest workaround chip, dubbed B30A, to China, the Information report said, citing three people familiar with the matter,&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.reuters.com/world/china/us-block-nvidias-sale-scaled-back-ai-chips-china-information-says-2025-11-07/">according</a> to Reuters. The B30A can reportedly be used to train large-language models&nbsp;across large clusters, a key requirement for many Chinese companies developing AI processes and applications.Following the setback, Nvidia is working on modifying the chip's design to appease U.S. authorities and obtain their approval.The rumored development comes close on the heels of President Donald Trump clarifying in a media interview on Sunday that Nvidia’s high-performance chips will not be shared with any other country, to keep the U.S. in the lead in the AI race.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Nvidia’s China Travails</h2>After Nvidia’s high-performance computing (HPC) AI accelerators were forbidden from shipping to China by the previous Biden administration, the company developed a trimmed-down version to comply with the regulation. The H20 China-specific AI chip that Nvidia developed to sidestep the ban drew scrutiny from the White House under Trump, and its exports were banned in April of this year.Huang’s lobbying to&nbsp;resume sales yielded results when the government signaled its intention to comply. That said, neither Nvidia nor its peer AMD, which was also impacted by the ban, has included contribution from the chip in their revenue outlook issued since then. Huang was in the news this week when he issued a warning&nbsp;about the AI threat posed by China, but later came on to soften his comments, stating that the U.S. was still “nanoseconds” ahead in the AI race.<h2 class="st-heading-2">What Retail Feels About Nvidia Stock</h2>On Stocktwits, retail sentiment toward Nvidia stock remained ‘bullish’ as of late Thursday, although the mood tempered from the ‘extremely bullish’ outlook seen a week ago. Nvidia’s China Nightmare Isn’t Over Yet — Trump’s Team Reportedly Plans Fresh AI Chip Export Curbs

As the US strives to keep its lead in the AI race, the Trump administration has continued to tighten restrictions on the export of high-performance chips.

An analyst reduced the price target for the stock, citing near-term headwinds.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/QCOM">Qualcomm stock</a> has underperformed the broader tech sector and the semiconductor industry, having risen 19% for the year.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Qualcomm - A Long-Term Story?</h2>Baird analyst Tristan Gerra said he expects Qualcomm to be a transformed company by the calendar year 2028, warranting a higher multiple. By then, the analyst expects handset revenue to be decisively below 50% of total revenue, and automotive and IoT are expected to grow at a double-digit year-over-year (YoY) rate.The analyst noted that the management continues to expect its market share at Apple to decline to 20% by September 2026. This, combined with a shift from a 100% to a 75% share at Samsung in the March Quarter, prompted the analyst to forecast flat to lower annual revenue through fiscal year 2027. This could be augmented by revenue related to artificial intelligence (AI).Gerra also noted that incremental, AI-related opex will likely increase by $15 million to $20 million per quarter, starting in the March quarter. To make his case, he highlighted the new AI regulations in the U.S., which, in turn,&nbsp;could spawn "50 new regulations." In contrast, he noted that energy subsidies in China have made power more affordable for tech companies.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Why It's Important</h2>President Donald Trump, whose administration has further restricted AI chip exports to China, has repeatedly maintained that the U.S. holds the pole position in the AI race. As recently as this Sunday, while appearing on CBS's "60 Minutes," Trump <a href="https://stocktwits.com/news-articles/markets/equity/nvidia-investors-shrug-off-trump-s-blackwell-ai-chip-s-us-exclusivity-comment/cL2Nb19R3zP">said</a> the U.S. wouldn't allow Nvidia to sell its most advanced, high-performance computing Blackwell chip to China."The most advanced, we will not let anybody have them other than the United States." He also claimed that the U.S. is winning the AI race, and allowing other countries access to high-performance AI chips, such as Nvidia's Blackwell, would give them an "equal" advantage.Nvidia and AMD once derived sizeable revenue from China, selling these chips to the country. After the Biden administration imposed curbs, these companies developed workarounds, such as Nvidia H20 and AMD MI308, with stepped-down performance to sidestep the ban. The Trump administration has since then restricted the exports of these chips. The outlook provided by both Nvidia and AMD now excludes contributions from Chinese AI chips.Huang hasn't been one to mince words and has warned on multiple occasions that ignoring China in the grand scheme of AI would be a detrimental approach.
