(TSM), widely known as TSMC, climbed nearly 2% in Thursday’s early premarket session, with third-quarter earnings serving as an upside catalyst.<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/TSM">TSMC stock</a> ended Wednesday’s session just off its all-time high of $30730 reached on Oct. 6, riding on the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution that has perked up demand for its advanced, high-performance chips.&nbsp;How TSMC’s Q3 Earnings Panned OutHsinchu, Taiwan-based TSMC reported earnings per ADR (EPS) of $2.92, up from $1.94 in the year-ago quarter and higher than the previous quarter’s $2.47. The results exceeded the $2.63 consensus, according to Stocktwits.&nbsp;The company confirmed the NT$989.92 billion revenue for the quarter it disclosed last week. On a U.S.-dollar basis, revenue jumped 40.8% year-over-year (YoY) and 10.1% sequentially to $33.10 billion, exceeding the $32.07 billion consensus estimate. TSMC attributed the revenue growth to strong demand for its leading-edge process technologies.&nbsp;The topline also topped the $31.8 billion to $33 billion guidance issued by the company in mid-July. By technology, the most advanced 3-nanometer (nm) process technology contributed 23% of total wafer revenue, while the 5nm and 7nm accounted for 37% and 14% respectively. These advanced technologies are used by its high-profile customers such as Nvidia, Apple, and AMD for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI applications and processes.&nbsp;By end market, HPC accounted for 57% of TSMC’s total revenue, and smartphones made up 30% of the total. North America contributed 76% of the total revenue.Gross margin came in 59.5%, 1.7 percentage points (ppts) higher than last year, and up 0.9 ppts from the previous quarter.&nbsp;How Retail Reacted To TSMC Q3 PrintTSMC stock was among the top five trending equity tickers on Stocktwits. (NVDA) has made another data center bet, this time in Australia, as it makes significant investments in partnerships and strategic initiatives to further its dominance.Australia’s AI infrastructure company, Firmus Technologies, announced a strategic partnership with Nvidia and CDC Data Centers for Project Southgate to deliver sovereign, world-class AI capability at scale. The project is a renewable energy-powered infrastructure network to unlock national capability in AI with emphasis on clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and digital sovereignty.Firmus said the first stage of the project is currently under construction in Tasmania and Melbourne, which will utilize 150 megawatt (MW) power, representing 54,000 Nvidia GB300 AI chips delivered by mid-2026. The DGX Spark, according to Nvidia, has been made for researchers and creators who want “supercomputer-class performance that’s ready to grab and go.”&nbsp;“Built on the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell architecture, DGX Spark integrates NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, networking, CUDA libraries, and NVIDIA AI software, accelerating agentic and physical AI development,” it added.Nvidia said early recipients are testing, validating and optimizing their tools, software, and models for DGX Spark. Among the other earliest recipients of the system are Anaconda, Cadence, ComfyUI, Docker, Google, Hugging Face, JetBrains, LM Studio, Meta, Microsoft, Ollama, and Roboflow. Nvidia Stock Climbs Premarket, Brushing Off Report Of Chinese Customs Crackdown On AI Chips: Retail Chatter Grows

SoftBank Group Corp. (SFTBY), the Japanese investment holding company led by Masayoshi Son, is reportedly offering shares of its Arm Holdings Plc. (ARM) subsidiary as collateral to finance an investment in U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) startup and Stargate project partner OpenAI.Minato, Tokyo-based SoftBank is nearing a deal with a few lenders for a margin loan, amounting to $5 billion, offering shares of Arm as collateral security, Bloomberg&nbsp;<a class="st-link-external" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-10-10/softbank-in-talks-for-5-billion-margin-loan-backed-by-arm-stock">reported,</a> citing people familiar with the matter. The debt raised through the margin loan would go toward additional investment in&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/OPENAI">OpenAI</a>, the report added. The total margin loans from Arm shares would now be $18.5 billion, including the $13.5 billion raised previously. Specifically, the Vision Fund 2 was set up in 2019 to invest in AI-driven ventures and later-stage technology companies.While speaking at SoftBank’s annual shareholder meeting held in July, Son expressed hopes to transform his company into the “world’s top platformer for ASI [artificial super intelligence],” as he believed that it would be a winner-takes-all arena. “I’m all in,” he had said.
