Amazon Expects AWS Sales To Be $600B By 2036, Double That Of Prior Projections: Report

According to a report from Reuters, citing comments made by CEO Andy Jassy during an internal all-hands meeting, artificial intelligence could boost cloud revenues. 

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>OWL said the offering price represents a discount of approximately 33.2% to net asset value, which is well below what the Board believes to be the potential long-term value of OBDC II shares.</li><li>Blue Owl said in reaching its conclusion, the Board has consulted with members of management and its financial and legal advisors, and reviewed the terms and conditions of the offer.</li></ul>Blue Owl Capital Corporation II (OBDC II) on Friday said that its Board of Directors has unanimously recommended that shareholders reject the unsolicited minority tender offer from Cox Capital Partners and Saba Capital Management for up to 8 million shares of OBDC II for approximately $30 million.&nbsp;The company said that it believes the minority offer from Cox and Saba is an attempt to capture value at the expense of OBDC II shareholders. The offering price represents a discount of approximately 33.2% to net asset value, which is well below what the Board believes to be the potential long-term value of OBDC II shares.Blue Owl said in reaching its conclusion, the Board has consulted with members of management and its financial and legal advisors, reviewed the terms and conditions of the offer and has also considered other information related to the fund's historical financial performance, portfolio of assets and future opportunities.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Why To Reject?</h2>The firm said that Cox and Saba's offer price is inadequate, arbitrary and substantially undervalues OBDC II's assets and ongoing access to liquidity.&nbsp;Tendering will prohibit OBDC II shareholders from receiving future distributions and realizing any appreciation in the value of their shares in the future, Blue Owl said in a statement.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">Cox And Saba Offer</h2>Last month, Saba Capital and Cox Capital Partners announced cash tender offers for shares in business development companies (BDC) that are owned by Blue Owl. Cox and Saba at the time had said that the offer price was expected to be at a 20-35% discount to the most recent estimated net asset value and dividend reinvestment price.&nbsp;The tender offers came at a time when Blue Owl said that it will permanently stop allowing redemptions from Blue Owl Capital Corp. This does not settle the claims of all plaintiffs in the lawsuit, and the company has created a $280 million settlement fund to address the states' damages claims, it said.&nbsp;<h2 class="st-heading-2">New York AG’s Response</h2>“We will keep fighting this case without the federal government so that we can secure justice for all those harmed by Live Nation’s monopoly,”&nbsp;New York Attorney General Letitia James said on the new developments in her ongoing lawsuit against Live Nation/Ticketmaster for illegally monopolizing the live entertainment industry.“The settlement recently announced with the U.S. Department of Justice fails to address the monopoly at the center of this case, and would benefit Live Nation at the expense of consumers. In addition to our strong results and outlook, our design wins in fiscal 2026 hit an all-time record, which we expect will continue to fuel our future growth,” said Murphy.The CEO also said that Marvell’s fiscal 2027 data center revenue is expected to grow by 40% and fiscal 2028 to grow close to 50%.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Q4 Snapshot</h2>The Delaware-based company reported a fourth-quarter (Q4) net revenue of $2.22 billion, a 22% year-on-year growth, and higher than analysts’ estimates of $2.21 billion, as per data from Fiscal.ai.On the call, Murphy highlighted the company’s AI data center performance, stating revenues were over $6 billion in the segment, clocking a growth of 46% year-over-year.Marvell also posted a diluted earnings per share of $0.80, marginally higher than projections of $0.79.“This performance was driven by robust demand for our interconnect switching and storage products, along with the strong ramp in our custom business, which doubled in fiscal 2026. As we begin fiscal 2027, we are seeing very strong demand across our entire data center portfolio with bookings accelerating at a record pace,” Murphy said.Marvell also announced its plans to increase capital expenditure spends, which is ultimately expected to contribute to revenue growth.<h2 class="st-heading-2">Acquisitions Update</h2>Murphy provided updates on the company’s latest acquisitions, Celestial AI and XConn Technologies.
