Grok AI will be available on Tesla Inc. (TSLA) electric vehicles by next week at the latest, EV company CEO Elon Musk said in a post on X on Thursday.

“Grok is coming to Tesla vehicles very soon. Next week at the latest,” the CEO wrote in response to a Tesla investor.

TSLA shares are trading 3% higher in the morning.

Musk’s artificial intelligence startup xAI introduced Grok 4, the latest version of the AI model,  on Wednesday. The company claims it to be the “world’s most powerful AI model.”

While Musk has hinted at plans to incorporate Grok into Tesla’s in-car system as far back as March 2024, no specific timeline was provided then.

Collaboration between Musk’s different companies is not new. He previously said that Tesla’s upcoming Roadster vehicle will incorporate technology from his rocket manufacturing company, SpaceX.

Grok is also integrated on Musk’s social media platform X.

On Wednesday, Linda Yaccarino announced she is stepping down as chief executive of X, ending a two-year tenure defined by efforts to stabilize the Elon Musk-owned social media platform.

Her exit followed Grok receiving flak over comments praising Adolf Hitler and referring to itself as “MechaHitler” in some of its posts on X.

Poland on Wednesday also said it would be filing a complaint against the chatbot with the European Union (EU) after it made offensive comments about Polish politicians.
